LEGOLAND Hotel OR LEGOLAND Castle Hotel

If you know us, you know how much we love LEGO in this house. We love building LEGO and going to LEGOLAND California. I have been a LEGOLAND blogger ambassador for 4 years and it is so much fun. There are always fun events and LEGOLAND is full of rides, attractions, great food and so much more. You can read about our most recent trip to LEGOLAND here. When we visit LEGOLAND I like to stay right on property, so we always stay at either the LEGOLAND Hotel or the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel. I get asked all the time which hotel I prefer. It is so hard to answer, since they are both so fun and full of adventure and excitement, so take a seat and let me tell you about each hotel.

Splash Out To Summer With Legoland Water Park

This year I was invited to become a Legoland California Blogger Ambassador. I was beyond excited. We love Legoland California and usually try to visit the park at least once a year. Carter and Kennedy both love Legos and honestly I was so grateful and thrilled to be invited into their blogger ambassador program. Thank you again Legoland California. Last week I was invited to attend my first event, Splash Out To Summer, and it lived up to everything I was expecting and more!

Why You Should Visit Legoland California

Last Friday we visited Legoland California as a family and invited our nephew Yale to join us. Carter, Yale, and even Kennedy all love Legos so I knew it would be lots of fun for them. From the moment you drive into the park (pay extra for preferred parking so you get to park very close to the entrance) you are greeted with lots of bright colors and everything is made out of Legos. The entire staff is friendly from the ticket employees to ride operators, and anyone I asked a question was eager to answer and help. I thought Legoland California was very clean and the plants and surroundings were all well kept. Our tickets were for Legoland California, Legoland Water Park, and the Sea Life Aquarium. The park is filled with more than 60 kid-powered, kid-tastic rides, shows and attractions all built for fun!  We were able to ride almost every ride and visit the aquarium in one full day. We got there basically right when the park opened and stayed until it closed. We did not visit the water park because there was just not enough time, but if you plan on visiting the water park you may want to spend two days at Legoland California so you can take your time and visit each land, the Sea Life Aquarium, and the water park. We brought Carter for the first time when he was 2 and I was pregnant with Kennedy. He really liked it, but there was a lot he could not ride or Blake and I had to ride with him. Now Carter is 4 and was able to ride almost everything and several rides he could ride by himself. It was now Kennedy who could not ride everything due to her height and age (she is two). I think the best age for children to visit Legoland California is probably between the age of 4-5 and older. That way they are at the perfect age and height and can ride all the rides and you get your money's worth. There are so many things that I love about Legoland California, but one that comes to mind right away are the Lego play areas while you wait in line to ride. It is genius! Kids can play with Legos while someone waits in the ride line. It keeps the children busy and parents happy and before you know it the time passes by quicker and you are on the ride! Here are some helpful hints I wanted to share with all of you...

Summer Fun At LEGOLAND California Resort

Last week we went to one of our favorite destinations: LEGOLAND! I am sure you know by now how much we love building LEGO bricks, visiting LEGOLAND and sharing about LEGO Masters on FOX. We were recently invited to an event for the NEW LEGO Ferrari Build & Race and we could not make it to the event, so they graciously told us we could come when the timing worked out for us. We could not wait for the school year to end and headed down to Carlsbad for some LEGOLAND Fun! I have been a LEGOLAND Blogger Ambassador since 2017, so if you have questions about the park, food, height requirements for rides, the hotels, or anything else please do not hesitate to ask.

LEGOLAND CALIFORNIA RESORT DUPLO PLAYTOWN OPENS!

DUPLO Playtown is now open at LEGOLAND California and it is brand new and in a re-imagined location! We celebrated and explored the colorful, interactive play structures that make up DUPLO Playtown, along with experiencing the new LEGOLAND Express Train Ride. We enjoyed a light breakfast, beverages, photo opportunities with the new LEGOLAND California characters Jake and Emily, and discovered all that the new area has to offer.

Things To Do In San Diego

A couple weeks ago we went to San Diego for a few days because I attended an event at Legoland. We have always loved San Diego. Blake went to USD his first year of college, but with me still in high school we quickly realized it was a long 6 hour drive or expensive flight for us to see each other frequently. The following year Blake transferred to Santa Clara University and I went to SJSU and the rest is history. Blake's sister also went to USD, but transferred to Cal Poly and Blake's brother went to USD and actually played football, met his wife Ashley, and finished his undergrad at USD. We all have very fond wonderful memories of San Diego. Now that I am a Legoland Blogger Ambassador I am excited to hopefully visit San Diego more and enjoy all the wonderful things it has to offer.  I wanted to share some of our new finds from this past trip!  You can find this 'Greetings From San Diego' mural at 4225 30th Street.

2018 What A Year!

With every year there are ups and downs, triumphs and challenges. I guess that is how we grow each day and learn from mistakes and challenge ourselves to do better. This was such a wonderful year for me and my family and I wanted to share some highlights with all of you. Thank you again for following along with me. This March will be my 11th year blogging and I swear it only gets better with time. I am so very thankful for all of you who follow along, read my blog posts, comment, follow me on FB, IG, Twitter, and Pinterest. Without you I would not have had some of the amazing opportunities I had this year and with that said I am eternally grateful for all of you. Happy New Year and I can't wait to see what 2019 brings!

Our Trip Down South

This past week we took Carter to Disneyland, LEGOLAND, Sea World, and the San Diego Zoo. We had a wonderful time. We wanted to do one big trip with Carter before Kennedy arrives in May. The weather was great and since we went during the week the parks were not busy at all. We ate wonderful meals and just had a fabulous time being together. Here is a little scoop on our week.

Livin' it up in the OC

We just got back from spending five glorious days shopping, eating, laughing, celebrating my mother in law's birthday, running around Legoland, and so much more.  We had the best time.  Once again we stayed at the Newport Coast Villas (we are seriously obsessed with staying here).  Here are some pictures of all the fun we had!  Thank you Steve and Nikki for everything!

ABC 30 Interviewed Me About My Blog!

Yesterday I was interviewed by Amanda Venegas with ABC 30 about being a lifestyle blogger and the perks that come along with it. Amanda and I have been trying for over a year to connect and do a story on the news together. I am so happy we finally got to do something together and finally meet yesterday. The interview was longer in person, but only a little over 2 minutes on air, so I wanted to share more with you that I shared with Amanda.

Fun Things To Do In LA With Kids With Michelle From LA Dreaming Podcast

One of my favorite things about blogging and social media is sharing and connecting with other women.  It is my passion to share with people where to travel, stay, eat, visit, what to watch, what to cook, etc.  I also love learning from others.  For years I have been online friends with Michelle.  We have yet to meet in person, but she lives in LA.  She has an amazing blog and social media channels that inspire you to visit different places in LA.  After all, she is LA.Dreaming.  She is constantly sharing about fun places to visit and eat and even gives tips on how to be seat fillers or in the crowd for award shows, how to get invited to premieres, book signings with celebrities, amusement park info and more.  We have so much in common and I was honored to be on her podcast a few weeks ago.  We talked about everything to do in LA with kids, but honestly if you don't have kids you will love all the info we share too.  So grab a cup of coffee and let Michelle and I plan out your spring break or summer vacation!  Thank you Michelle for having me on your podcast.  It was my first time and it was so much fun.
