Summer Fun At LEGOLAND California Resort

Last week we went to one of our favorite destinations: LEGOLAND! I am sure you know by now how much we love building LEGO bricks, visiting LEGOLAND and sharing about LEGO Masters on FOX. We were recently invited to an event for the NEW LEGO Ferrari Build & Race and we could not make it to the event, so they graciously told us we could come when the timing worked out for us. We could not wait for the school year to end and headed down to Carlsbad for some LEGOLAND Fun! I have been a LEGOLAND Blogger Ambassador since 2017, so if you have questions about the park, food, height requirements for rides, the hotels, or anything else please do not hesitate to ask.

I suggest right when you enter the park to ask for a park map.  You can always get one at guest services.  You can also download the LEGOLAND app.  These are both helpful for your day at the park.

Don't forget to take your photo with Bronty the Dinosaur as you enter the park!

There are 9 lands in LEGOLAND and I am going to share a little bit about each land and the attractions and height requirements. So buckle up and let's go for a ride!

LEGO Ninjago World: This is a family favorite! There is Cole's Rock Climbing (no height requirement), Jay's Lightening Drills (no height requirement), Kai's Spinners (no height requirement), Zane's Temple Build (no height requirements) and LEGO Ninjago The Ride (rider under 48" must be accompanied by a responsible rider at least 14 years old and 48" or taller).  We also love eating at Ninja Kitchen.  The eggrolls are amazing.

We are so excited about LEGO Ninjago Taining Camp coming later this year!

Imagination Zone: Bionicle Blaster (must be 42" tall to ride), LEGO Technic Coaster (must be 42" tall to ride), LEGO Dots (no height requirements), LEGO Mindstorms (no height requirements), LEGO Ferrari Build & Race (no height requirements)

We loved the NEW Ferrari Build & Race!  See a life-size LEGO Ferrari F40, Build and Race puts you in the driver’s seat as you make your way through the “garage” to the “racetrack” using your creativity and imagination to build, test and race your own LEGO Ferrari.

 There are 3 different zones.

Zone 1 - take your photo with the life size LEGO Ferrari F40.

Zone 2 - build your own LEGO Ferrari car to race at one of three racetracks. Each track offers different obstacles, challenges and a chance to clock in the fastest time. A DUPLO build zone offers younger guests the chance to drive their imagination and design their own creation out of bigger bricks as well!

Zone 3 - once you have customized your vehicle, race them through the obstacles and hear the engines roar. You’ll be able to create a custom digital Ferrari race car. You’ll be able to digitally scan your vehicle and further customize your Ferrari along with your minifigure racing driver. Once complete, the cars are digitally projected on a LEGO racetrack based on Pista di Fiorano and you can compete with other cars digitally for the fastest race lap!

Land Of Adventure: Beetle Bounce (must be 36" to ride), Cargo Ace (must be 36" to ride), Dune Raiders (must be 36" to ride), Lost Kingdom Adventure (must be 30" to ride), Pharaoh's Revenge (no height requirement).

Castle Hill: Hideaways (no height requirement), LEGO City Deep Sea Adventure (riders under 52" tall must be accompanied by an adult), Royal Joust (must be 36" to ride), The Dragon (must be 40" to ride).

Pirate Shores: Captain Cranky's Challenge (must be 34" to ride), Pirate Reef (must be 36" to ride), Splash Battle (must be 36" to ride), Swabbie's Deck (no height requirement).

Fun Town: Adventurer's Club (no height requirement), Driving School (rider must be 6-13 years of age to ride), Fun Town Police & Fire Academy (must be 34" to ride), Junior Driving School (must be 3-5 years of age to ride), Kid Power Tower (must be 40" to ride), LEGO Factory Tour (no height requirement), LEGOLAND Express (no height requirement), Skipper School (must be 34" to ride), Sky Patrol (must be 34" to ride), Rebuild The World (no height requirement).

Explorer Island: Coastersaurus (must be 36" to ride), Dig Those Dinos (no height requirement), Safari Teck (must be 34" to ride), Fairy Tale Brook (must be 48" to ride).

MiniLand USA: There is no height requirement to walk MiniLand USA and visit Las Vegas, New Orleans, NYC, SF, Southern California, Washington D.C. and more all made out of LEGO. There is also a fun area called Coast Guard Build A Boat where you can make your own watercraft!

The LEGO MOVIE WORLD: Benny's Playship (no height requirement), Build Whatevra You Wa'na Build (no height requirement), Coast Cruise (no height requirement), Emmet's Flying Adventure Ride (you must be 40" to ride), Queen Whatevra's Carousel (no height requirement), Unikitty's Disco Drop (must be 40" to ride).  At Emmet's Super Suite you can meet the characters and see the LEGO Movie 2 Experience.

We were invited to the opening of The LEGO MOVIE WORLD and you can read about it here.

The food is great at LEGOLAND. There is something for everyone. They have burgers, churros, pasta, pizza, salads, ice cream, BBQ, deli sandwiches and more. Click here to see some of the dining options.  Two of my favorite places to eat are in Imagination Zone.  We love Pizza & Pasta Buffet and Pizza Mania.

Click here to purchase tickets. You must purchase online.

Annual passes are the BEST value way to visit the LEGOLAND California Resort and enjoy more than 60 rides, shows and attractions. Click here to purchase an annual pass.

Extend the theme park fun into an overnight stay at either LEGOLAND Hotel or LEGOLAND Castle Hotel. Believe me it is so nice to be steps away from the entrance to LEGOLAND. Click here for hotel + ticket packages.

We have stayed at both LEGOLAND Hotels and you can read about both of them HERE.

Don't forget to visit the Sea Life Aquarium. It is located inside LEGOLAND. You have to purchase a 1 day theme park + aquarium ticket. The aquarium is so fun and worth visiting!

Sea Life aquarium is your child's first interactive guide to the life of the sea, combining active hands-on learning with fascinating educational talks and up close encounters with sea creatures including sharks, octopi and rays!

And only at the aquarium, the new exhibit - Sea at Night where you can stroll in a gentle surf under a starry sky – during the day! Walk, jump and “splash” in a simulated bioluminescent tide.

For the safety of guests, strollers are not permitted inside SEA LIFE aquarium.

LEGOLAND Water Park features more than seven slides, sandy beaches and the unique Build-A-Raft River plus Pirate Reef and LEGO Legends of CHIMA Water Park comprising 10 acres of water fun!  We have done the water park before and it is so much fun.

The LEGO Group is marking its 90th anniversary by celebrating the creativity of fans and the power of play! To mark the occasion and help visitors enjoy the benefits of play together, LEGOLAND is launching a brand-new exclusive LEGO® experience: “Play Your Way”. You can read more HERE.

Throughout the entire park you will see some amazing statues all made of LEGO. Make sure you check them out and take some photos.

These can be found in The Big Shop

It is tradition at the end of the day before we leave LEGOLAND we visit The BIG Shop and the kids are each allowed to pick a new LEGO set.

Thank you LEGOLAND California for an awesome day! I have been a LEGOLAND Blogger Ambassador since 2017 so if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
