Everything Is Awesome At LEGO MOVIE WORLD

LEGOLAND California Resort is back open after being closed for 13 months! The family theme park in Carlsbad, CA officially opened THE LEGO MOVIE WORLD today. We got to step onto the streets of Bricksburg and experience the Park’s newest and biggest adventure which brings the blockbuster films THE LEGO MOVIE and THE LEGO MOVIE 2: The Second Part, to life. We were so excited to be invited to the grand opening event and check out the new world before it was open to the public. Experience new rides, attractions, restaurants, shops, and more.  Everything was awesome, so let me share it all with you so you can start planning your trip NOW!

Thank you LEGOLAND for the LEGO set.

LEGOLAND is doing a great job with safety and guidelines.  Here are some things to know before you go.  Click here.  Due to the limited capacity restrictions required by the CDC and state guidelines, all guests are required to make advanced reservations to LEGOLAND Theme Park, Sea Life Aquarium and LEGOLAND Water Park.

The LEGO Movie World features six interactive attractions. The new land is the largest addition in the Park’s history.

The biggest attraction in the LEGO Movie World is Emmet’s Flying Adventure! Join master builders on a triple decker flying couch as cutting edge technology transports you all over The LEGO Movie universe. Surrounded by a full dome virtual screen you will feel like you are flying through a world created completely from LEGO bricks. Get ready to hop aboard Emmet’s triple decker flying couch for a thrill-seeking race against his friends. Get ready to soar into the skies in the movie! This experience is also the first attraction at a major theme park in the U.S. that will include a 180-degree turn during the ride.  Height requirement is 40 inches.  Guests less than 52 inches must be accompanied by a responsible rider 14 inches of age and older.

Kids and families will also enjoy the rush of falling from Unikitty’s Disco Drop and experiencing the many personalities of the fearless feline. Rise, spin, and drop on this fun new ride. This all new drop tower ride will take you through a rainbow filled journey based on Unikitty and her many moods! Swoop to the tiptop of Cloud Cuckoo Land, then drop, spin and bounce back down to earth in sync with Unikitty's wide range of emotions! Unikitty's Disco Drop will lift riders to a height of 35 feet.  You must be 40" to ride this ride.  Guests less than 48 inches must be accompanied by a responsible rider 14 years of age or older.

The adventure doesn’t stop there as guests can explore Benny’s Playship!  Benny's Playship has landed right in the middle of Bricksburg.  Get ready to play on this space themed playground structure and get ready to take off!  There is no height requirement.

Ride Queen Watevra Wa'nabi’s carousel!  Get ready to spin along with the queen and 60 of her horses on this huge carousel that is perfect for younger guests.

Create at Build Watevra You Wa'Na Build zone.  This area is perfect for aspiring to be master model builders!

Meet Emmet and all his friends in Emmet’s Super Suite!  The characters change every 30 minutes.

In addition to the new rides and attractions there are several different food and beverage options.  Enjoy delicious homemade ramen, rice bowls, and salads in the land's premiere restaurant Everything Is Ramen!  After something sweet?  Check out Cloud Cuckoo Crepes and Benny's Rocket Fuel, offering a selection of drinks, snacks, ice cream, popcorn, slushies and more.

Everything Is Ramen has traditional ramen with house bone broth served with a soft boiled egg and fresh veggies and your choice of protein.  You can select pork belly, chicken, or tofu.  There is also Miso ramen, rice bowls, and kids meals.

Benny's Rocket Fuel has popcorn, chips, sodas, water, Monster Energy drinks, slushies and more.

There is also an Awesome Shop with some really cool stuff!  Whether you are fan of the hit movies or simply looking for the perfect souvenir to commemorate your day, The Awesome Shop offers a selection of the LEGO Movie merch including LEGO sets, apparel, mugs and more!

The kids got to meet Kurt Stocks, the president of LEGOLAND California.

Extend the theme park fun into an overnight stay at either LEGOLAND Hotel or LEGOLAND Castle Hotel.  Believe me it is so nice to be steps away from the entrance to LEGOLAND.  Click here for hotel + ticket packages.

Only the Chima Water is currently open.  The rest of the water park is currently closed.

Don't forget to visit the Sea Life Aquarium.  It is located inside LEGOLAND.  You have to purchase a 1 day theme park + aquarium ticket.  The aquarium is so fun and worth visiting!

We LOVED LEGO Masters that came on FOX last year.  The new season starts Tuesday, June 1st and we can't wait.  It was so exciting to see some of the models on display around LEGOLAND.
