This year I was invited to become a Legoland California Blogger Ambassador. I was beyond excited. We love Legoland California and usually try to visit the park at least once a year. Carter and Kennedy both love Legos and honestly I was so grateful and thrilled to be invited into their blogger ambassador program. Thank you again Legoland California. Last week I was invited to attend my first event, Splash Out To Summer, and it lived up to everything I was expecting and more!
Splash Out To Summer was full of excitement from the moment we arrived. I learned tips on how to make the most of our splashing fun at Southern California's most interactive water park in Legoland California. We got to taste all the new dining options, including authentic street tacos that will be coming to Surfer's Cove at the end of June. We got to view new interactive activities happening at Sea Life Aquarium. I took a hard hat tour with other bloggers and news media of Surfer's Cove, the newest California beach themed expansion of Legoland Water Park opening at the end of June. Surfer's Cove is going to be amazing! It will feature six water slides where guests compete for the fastest time! The area will also include new Lego models and a "spray ground" with multiple water jets splashing on and off.
During the ceremony in the morning while we enjoyed an amazing breakfast we got to see more than 50 children and their families from the Los Angeles and San Diego Ronald McDonald House experience Legoland Water Park for the first time. Also during the ceremony Legoland California presented The Ronald McDonald House with a donation to continue their programs that strengthen families during difficult times. It was so amazing to see this! We are huge supporters of the Ronald McDonald House since both of our children have had to stay at Valley Children's Hospital.
Legoland Water Park is truly awesome. We played most of the morning and early afternoon at the water park. There is a Duplo Splash Safari that the kids loved, water slides, a sandy beach area, and so much more. They also have a Lego Chima Water Park area that looked so cool. The Surfer's Cove opens at the end of June and will just add more fun and excitement to the Legoland Water Park. Throughout the entire water park I had no problem finding chairs and there were life guards literally everywhere, which I loved. There are bathrooms conveniently located around the park and lockers in case you need to store some valuables for the day.
After splashing around all morning and early afternoon we worked up an appetite! We were so excited to be whisked away to an amazing area where we got to try all the new food that they will be offering at Surfer's Cove. The chicken strips, authentic street tacos, chips, salsa, guacamole, drinks, and everything was just delicious. I loved all the authentic street tacos. There was fish, carne asada, and carnitas. I am hungry now just thinking about those scrumptious tacos. I can't wait to try them again later this summer.
After lunch we decided to go into Legoland California and ride some rides, see some of our favorite Legoland characters, and visit Sea Life Aquarium. Legoland California has some great rides. The kids just love it all and seeing everything made out of Legos is the best. Kennedy's favorite ride is the Mia's Riding Camp, where you ride these adorable horses in Lego Friends HeartLake City. Carter's favorite ride is Lego NINJAGO The Ride in Lego NINJAGO World. Carter is so into those ninja guys right now. One of my favorite rides is Safari Trek in Explorers Island. Believe me there is something for everyone, with more than 60 kid-powered, kid-tastic rides, shows and attractions all built for fun! The entire park is kept so clean, the employees are helpful and nice, and you will be amazed just seeing everything made out of Legos. This park is a must-see this summer!
The Sea Life Aquarium is right in Legoland and it has over 5,000 amazing creatures. There are 14 themed zones and a cool 35 foot long ocean tunnel. You can touch a sea star and other creatures in the Ineractive Rockpool Experience. You can learn about secrets of the sea from marine experts and meet a diver in the Dive Show. With fun talks, animal feedings, and the New Dive Adventure Trail, there is plenty for everyone to enjoy at the Sea Life Aquarium.
We also visited the Legoland Hotel. It is right next to the Legoland California park, the water park, and Sea Life Aquarium. If you are planning on staying multiple days you should consider staying at the Legoland Hotel and treating yourself to the ultimate experience. There are four different theme rooms to choose from and you get early access into the Legoland California park. In Spring 2018 Legoland California will be opening a new Castle Hotel. It looks amazing and you can view it all here.
So what are your plans this summer? I hope you add Legoland California and the water park to your bucket list. Trust me, your kids will thank you later.
You can read last June's blog post here about Legoland California and it goes a little more in depth about each land and the rides.
