Kennedy will be three on Tuesday. Her birthday always falls right around Memorial Day weekend, so we never have a big birthday party for her. Friday night we had the family over for a pool party with pizza and cupcakes. It was a unicorn themed party because in this house we believe unicorns are real and magical and personally I feel like Kennedy and myself are going to have one magical year because I am determined to potty train her this year (pray for me because Carter was so difficult). There were so many adorable little touches to her party and it turned out really cute.
I knew I wanted to send cute invites to all of the family, decorate the house and backyard with unicorns, and have it look very colorful like a rainbow. Oriental Trading has the most amazing party supplies, arts and crafts, school supplies, toys and novelties. Oriental Trading helped out so much with Kennedy's party. They made it so easy on me. I went online once and selected what I wanted for the party. I was able to order everything I needed. I did not have to drag the kids out in the hot weather, push them around in some dirty cart at a party supply store while I tried to remember everything I would need for Kennedy's party. Instead, I sat at my computer and just added everything to my cart and it was shipped right to my front door. It was amazing and Oriental Trading totally rocks! They made life so easy on me. I printed some coloring pages for the kids in case they got tired of swimming
I had a unicorn puzzle out for the kids in case they wanted to sit and put a puzzle together.
Our 3 water tables were filled with Unicorn squirt toys
We had sidewalk chalk out for the kids too
We had a photo booth set up in the house right when guests walked in.
When you wait until the day of the party to order balloons and you go to 3 Party City stores and they are all out of the unicorn balloons you wanted, you end up with My Little Pony balloons. They kinda look like unicorns don't they? #momfail
