The Art Of Brick In San Francisco

We are huge LEGO fans in this house, so when we heard about The Art Of Brick in San Francisco we knew we had to visit.  It is the world's most popular display of LEGO art! Get ready to discover over one million LEGO bricks transformed into more than 70 sculptures by artist Nathan Sawaya. This critically acclaimed collection includes Sawaya's original sculptures, as well as re-imagined versions of some of the world’s most famous art masterpieces, such as Michelangelo’s David, Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.  This exhibit was amazing and we had the best time.

One of my favorite things about blogging and social media is sharing and connecting with other women.  It is my passion to share with people where to travel, stay, eat, visit, what to watch, what to cook, etc.  I also love learning from others.  For years I have been online friends with Michelle.  We have yet to meet in person, but she lives in LA.  She has an amazing blog and social media channels that inspire you to visit different places in LA.  After all, she is LA.Dreaming.  She is constantly sharing about fun places to visit and eat and even gives tips on how to be seat fillers or in the crowd for award shows, how to get invited to premieres, book signings with celebrities, amusement park info and more.  We have so much in common and I was honored to be on her podcast a few weeks ago.  We talked about everything to do in LA with kids, but honestly if you don't have kids you will love all the info we share too.  So grab a cup of coffee and let Michelle and I plan out your spring break or summer vacation!  Thank you Michelle for having me on your podcast.  It was my first time and it was so much fun.

Disney Sketchbook Premieres On Disney+ April 27

You will never find Carter without a pad of paper and pencil in his hand.  His love for drawing is something fierce.  Drawing has always been his passion and he is very good at it.  We are so excited for this one-of-a-kind drawing experience in the all-new, six-part Original Series “Sketchbook” with Walt Disney Animation Studios streaming April 27 on Disney+.  We will be given an insider’s look into the animation process as some of the Studios’ talented artists teach us how to draw beloved Disney characters, including Kuzco from “Emperor’s New Groove,” Olaf from “Frozen,” Genie from “Aladdin,” Captain Hook from “Peter Pan,” Mirabel from “Encanto” and young Simba from "The Lion King."  If you can dream it, you can draw it!

Since December Encanto has been playing on repeat in our house. The kids love the music, they know every song by heart and we love the story about an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal every child except one, Mirabel. But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only ordinary Madrigal, might just be her exceptional family’s last hope. Tyson's Run In Theaters Now

Tyson's Run is the inspirational film directed by Kim Bass (Creator of “Sister, Sister,” “Kenan & Kel”) that will have the entire family encouraged to walk through difficulty united and full of faith. When autistic fifteen-year-old Tyson attends public school for the first time, his life is changed forever. While helping his father clean up after the football team, Tyson befriends champion marathon runner Aklilu. Never letting his autism hold him back, Tyson becomes determined to run his first marathon in hopes of winning his father's approval.  With the help of an unlikely friend and his parents, Tyson learns that with faith in yourself and the courage to take the first step, anything is possible.  Tyson's Run will be in theaters on March 11th.

Disney Junior Fun Fest Coming to Disney California Adventure on April 29, 2022

It is no surprise how much we love everything Disney in this house! I am so excited to share that the first ever Disney Junior Fun Fest will take place at Disney California Adventure on April 29, 2022. A few years ago we attended a Disney Channel Fan Fest and it was amazing (click HERE to read about that). I am sure Disney Junior Fun Fest will be so much fun for kids, adults and everyone!  We are constantly watching Disney Junior or Disney Channel in our house.  There are so many amazing shows like Spidey & His Amazing Friends, Alice's Wonderland Bakery, Mickey Mouse Fun House, Bluey, The Chicken Squad, Puppy Dog Pals, and more!

The Adam Project Past Meets Future Premieres On Netflix March 11th

The Adam Project is a sci-fi adventure story that follows a fighter pilot from the future who travels back in time to team up with his younger self and his father to change the future and save the world.  Directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Walker Scobell, with Catherine Keener and Zoe Saldaña.  I was honored to screen the movie last month and it is so good.  The cast and movie are both phenomenal.  I was actually invited to a screening in LA with Ryan Reynolds and Jennifer Garner, but I could not make it and I am still kicking myself for missing it!  The Adam Project premieres on Netflix Friday, March 11th and it is perfect for the whole family.

 Growing up is hard. In Disney and Pixar’s animated adventure, “Turning Red,” it’s a real beast... especially if you’re Meilin Lee. Whenever she gets excited, she turns into a giant red panda! This heartwarming coming-of-age tale explores the chaos of adolescence and the power of friendship.  Turning Red is available on Disney+ starting March 11, 2022.  This is not a premiere release so you will not have to pay an extra fee to see this movie on Disney+.  It will be available to everyone on Disney+ this Friday!  We screened the movie last month and I want to share with you why it is perfect for the whole family, along with new merchandise that will hit stores this month for the movie, and FREE printable activity sheets.

The Weekend Away On Netflix & Interview With Leighton Meester

Are you ready for a new Netflix thriller?! The Weekend Away is on Netflix now.  The movie revolves around two friends who go to Croatia for a vacation.  However, the vacation turns into a nightmare for Beth (Leighton Meester) when she finds her friend Kate (Christina Wolfe) missing. Her friend vanishes and Kate is now being accused of killing her. In order to prove that she’s innocent, she embarks on a journey to find out what happened. However, each clue yields another unsettling deception.  The Weekend Away is based on the book by Sarah Alderson. The entire movie will have you on the edge of your seat trying to piece together clues and figure out what happened. It will leave you in complete shock until the very end!  The movie is rated TV-14 and it's 1 hour and 29 minutes.
