Are you ready for a new Netflix thriller?! The Weekend Away is on Netflix now. The movie revolves around two friends who go to Croatia for a vacation. However, the vacation turns into a nightmare for Beth (Leighton Meester) when she finds her friend Kate (Christina Wolfe) missing. Her friend vanishes and Kate is now being accused of killing her. In order to prove that she’s innocent, she embarks on a journey to find out what happened. However, each clue yields another unsettling deception. The Weekend Away is based on the book by Sarah Alderson. The entire movie will have you on the edge of your seat trying to piece together clues and figure out what happened. It will leave you in complete shock until the very end! The movie is rated TV-14 and it's 1 hour and 29 minutes.
This week I had the honor of interviewing Leighton Meester and Sarah Alderson. I was a huge Gossip Girl fan growing up. I watched every single episode and even went on a trip to NYC with Blake to watch them film on the streets of NYC. It was so fun to chat with Leighton about the movie, her children, her husband, learn that she surfs, and what it was like filming this suspenseful thriller movie for Netflix.
