St. Patrick's Day is this week. We are so excited to wear green, impossibly catch a leprechaun, make festive treats, read books about St. Patrick's Day and more. Come join in the fun as I share a little bit about how we celebrate this week.
Some of our favorite books for St. Patrick's Day are:
Today we made rainbow Mickey Mouse heads. All you need is 2 pieces of paper, a pencil, markers, cotton balls, glue, scissors, and bowls to trace your Mickey head. I used a 5 inch bowl for the ears and an 8 inch bowl for the head. Trace the paper, color a rainbow pattern, add the ears, glue, and cotton balls and you have a rainbow Mickey for St. Patrick's Day! Watch the tutorial video HERE.
Let's make Leprechaun Lookers. You will need 2 toilet paper rolls, wrapping paper, scissors, glue, ribbon, and other fun items to decorate. Cut paper to fit the length of the toilet paper roll and glue. After you wrap both rolls, glue them together. Glue the ribbon to each end of the Leprechaun Lookers interior. Add tinsel, ribbon or pipe cleaners to the edge and add pom poms or anything else festive and fun! Watch the tutorial HERE.
Let's make rainbow apple slice cookies! All you need is an apple, Fruity Pebbles cereal, plain yogurt, and shredded coconut. Slice the apple into circular slices, add a thin layer of plain yogurt, on the top add some fruity pebbles for the rainbow and on the bottom add some shredded coconut as the cloud. Watch the tutorial HERE.
Let’s make Froot Loop marshmallow rainbows! You need Froot Loops, marshmallows, and pipe cleaners. All you have to do is string the Froot Loops on your fuzzy pipe cleaner and shape it into a half circle and put each end into a marshmallow like a puffy cloud. Just don't eat the pipe cleaner!
