Santa Cruz has surf, mountains, free-spirited culture, redwood covered mountains and a very laid-back vibe that makes you want to relax and unwind. It’s also home of the iconic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Let me share with you why we love visiting Santa Cruz and what we do as a family when we visit.

We love Santa Cruz.  Blake and I were married at Resurrection Catholic Church and our reception was at the Seascape Resort. It was beautiful. So obviously Santa Cruz always holds a special place in our hearts. There are so many things we love to do, see, and eat when we are there, so I thought I would share some of our favorites with you.

We love the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The kids love riding the rides, the beach is great and it is so fun overall. It is FREE to enter the boardwalk and you can decide if you want to purchase food or ride tickets. Click here for current info on hours and prices.

We love walking the Santa Cruz Wharf and seeing the sea lions and picking out candy at Marini's Candies.

The Seymour Marine Discovery Center is located at 100 McAllister Way Santa Cruz, CA 95060. YOu can touch a shark, take a photo with one of the largest blue whale skeletons on display in the world. Meet a real marine scientist and experience your ocean on your own terms.

We love eating at Gayle's Bakery. It is a must for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Some days we seriously go there multiple times. It is the best.

Regal Santa Cruz 9 is our favorite movie theater. We also love exploring the historic downtown area. There is great shopping and wonderful places to eat.

Village Host Pizza & Grill is always a must. The pizza and salad bar are amazing and the kids love the arcade games.

Palapas is a Mexican restaurant with a panoramic ocean view that we visit every time we go.
