With Barbie You Can Be Anything

My sister and I both grew up playing with Barbies. We had the Barbie Dream House, more Barbies than we could count, clothes, accessories, furniture, and more. I loved Barbies as a child and I still do. I loved dressing them up, styling their hair, and using my imagination to its fullest.  Kennedy loves Barbie and has lots of furniture pieces, clothes, accessories and more that belonged to me and my sister when we were younger. I love to see that Mattel and Barbie make things that last for generations to pass down and enjoy.  I wanted to share some of our new favorites with you.

Our Year In Review 2020

Every year I always do this blog post. It is a little look back at our year and all the fun we had. It usually includes several trips, celebrations, work events and so much more. This year was definitely different and kept us home most of year, but we learned to make the best of it and stay positive. We are excited to see what 2021 holds for us. May this new year bring you much joy and fun. May you find peace, love and success. May this year bring new happiness, new goals, new achievements, new inspirations and above all good health! Wishing you nothing but happiness in the new year. Here’s to another year full of joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories. How To Celebrate NYE At Home

Since we had Carter (2011) we have stayed home for NYE. I actually love it. We get take out (pizza or Chinese), take our annual NYE photo and just enjoy being home together. We play games and usually none of us see midnight, but that is okay. I wanted to share some ways you can celebrate with your family this year safely at home.

Take Time To Build With Your Family & Connect With LEGO

Building LEGO is one of Carter and Kennedy's favorite activities.  Carter has a LEGO table in his room and it is so helpful when the kids build and create. We have thousands of LEGO bricks, but I will continue to keep purchasing them because they are seriously the best toy ever.  Carter and Kennedy play so well together when they are building LEGO sets together. Creating with LEGO helps the kids improve their fine motor skills, they learn to read and follow instructions with the booklet, and they also learn to be creative when you give them a box of classic LEGO pieces.  Shake off the fatigue of the holiday hustle and connect with your family in a creative and fun filled LEGO building activity.  On December 26th, The LEGO Group will be unboxing a new tradition for families around the world called LEGO Build Day.

Upside Down Magic Is Now On DVD

They say it takes a village to raise a child, but in the case of Disney+’s new original film Safety, it takes a college football team. Safety is a powerful and moving drama inspired by the empowering story of former Clemson University football safety Ray McElrathbey (Jay Reeves), a young man facing a series of challenging circumstances, whose dedication and persistence help him to triumph over repeated adversities. Feel The Magic This Holiday Season With Godmothered On Disney+

I was honored to be asked by Disney+ to screen GodMothered last month.  Set at Christmas time, “GodMothered” is a comedy about Eleanor, a young, inexperienced fairy godmother-in-training (Jillian Bell) who upon hearing that her chosen profession is facing extinction, decides to show the world that people still need fairy godmothers. Finding a lost letter from a 10-year-old girl in distress, Eleanor tracks her down and discovers that the girl, Mackenzie, is now a 40-year-old single mom (Isla Fisher) working at a news station in Boston. Having lost her husband several years earlier, Mackenzie has all but given up on the idea of “Happily Ever After,” but Eleanor is bound and determined to give Mackenzie a happiness makeover (whether she likes it or not) and remind her of the importance of happiness and magic just in time for Christmas. Godmothered will be streaming on Disney+ starting Dec. 4th.
