My Favorite Things Party

Every Christmas I host a favorite things party. It is truly one of the highlights of my year. This is the only night when this amazing group of girls gathers all in the same place and I really savor this special time spent together. The gifts are always fun, but spending time together is what means the most. Each girl who attended stood up and talked about their favorite thing and then drew 3 names out of the glass jar and those 3 girls went home with their item. This way everyone went home with 3 new favorite things! It was a great time and there were some wonderful gifts! Of course there was yummy food, drinks, Christmas music, and LRC (Kirin won).  Almost everyone agreed that this was my best party yet.  Maybe it was the girls who attended or the amazing gifts that everyone brought or that everyone stayed way past bedtime and we laughed and chatted the night away (I did not get into bed until after midnight).  I rushed out to stores today to pick up some of the items that girls brought that I did not end up with last night.  It was a great night and I want to thank all the girls who took time away from husbands, children, families, work, traveled near and far, and spent the evening with me. I really appreciate you girls coming. It takes a lot of planning, effort, and resources to throw a fun party and I appreciate the girls who come every year! Merry Christmas!!

My adorable invites were from Minted.  You can read all about my invites here.

My favorite thing was the new 98 Degrees Christmas album.  It is amazing and I can't get enough of it.  Since I love Christmas and 98 Degrees and I just recently met all four of the members in October I had to give the CD's!  Plus I had a great story to share with the girls about the first time I saw 98 Degrees in concert.

My sweet friend Sophie helped with all my table decor.  Thank you Sophie.

My sister Ashley came over early to help me with anything I needed and stayed until the very end and helped me clean up.  I so appreciated her help.

Each girl got to pick a wrapping paper as their favor when they left. I hope each of my friends are getting wrapped up in the spirit of the season!
