How To Host A Holiday Favorite Things Party

Last night I hosted my annual Christmas/Favorite things party. Each girl who attended stood up and talked about their favorite thing and then drew 3 names out of the glass jar and those 3 girls went home with their item.   Everyone went home with 3 new favorite things! It was a great time and there were some wonderful gifts! Of course there was yummy food, drinks, Christmas music, and LRC (Natalie won). It was a great night and I want to thank all the girls who took time away from husbands, children, families, work, traveled near and far, and spent the evening with me. I really appreciate you girls coming. It takes a lot of planning, effort, and resources to throw a fun party and I appreciate the girls who come every year! Merry Christmas!!

When hosting a party the first thing I think of is a theme and this year I went with a nutcracker theme.  I love nutcrackers.  They are just so festive for this holiday season.  Tiny Prints had the perfect nutcracker holiday party invitations.  Tiny Prints totally brought my theme to life with their festive invites and accessories.  They have so many holiday party invitations, several different trim options for your invites, colors and themes.  The list goes on and on.  I found some helpful info on how to write the perfect party invitation here.

I love to make my Christmas party both festive and fun. I always love to do something different each year. This year we had a photo booth. A photo booth can be so fun for any wedding, holiday party, birthday party, etc. The girls all loved it last night. We took tons of photos and used Christmas photo props. The photo back drop was from Shindigz, an online party supply store. They made it so easy on me. I went online and searched through all their amazing Christmas items. I was able to order all the plates, cups, napkins, silverware, favors, backdrops and more all on their website! I did not have to drag the kids out in this cold, push them around in some dirty cart at a party supply store while I tried to remember everything I would need for my party. Instead, I sat at my computer and just added everything to my cart and it was shipped straight to my front door. It was amazing and Shindigz totally rocks! They made life so easy on me. Thank you again Shindigz.

Some amazing gifts.  My favorite item was a Starbucks gift card.  It was wrapped so cute in a Starbucks cup but I forgot to take a picture.

The girls all left with lollipops from Shindigz.

I want to thank everyone who brought a hostess gift.  That was so very sweet of you.  I truly appreciate everything, but I had to share these adorable cookies from Emily!  They were so cute and a hit with the girls, as well as Carter and Kennedy.
