Why You Should Stay At The Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort

Hilton Hawaiian Village is my favorite hotel in Oahu. When I graduated high school my graduation gift from Blake and his parents was a trip to Oahu with their family and we stayed at Hilton Hawaiian Village. It was my first time ever going to Hawaii and the entire trip was amazing. We usually visit Oahu once a year and I love staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village. It has so much to offer, like resort dining, bars and entertainment, pools and ocean activities, shopping, camp penguin, resort services and more. You never have to leave the property and I am here to tell you why.

The pools and beaches are amazing.  The resort is a water lover's dream. Enjoy a cocktail by the pool (may I suggest a lava flow), play with the kids in the Keiki (children's) pool or soak in the sun in the widest stretch of Waikiki Beach (22 acres to be exact). There are 5 pools at Hilton Hawaiian Village. The Super Pool is our personal favorite. It is a 10,000 ft pool - the largest on the island! Just seeing it in person is something you have to witness. The Paradise Pool features waterfalls, slides, whirlpools, and more. It also overlooks the Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon. There is also the Kalia Pool, Tapa Pool (this pool has a little splash area for kids) and Ali'i Pool. We stayed in the Ali'i Tower, where only guests of the Ali'i Tower can use the Ali'i Pool. It is so nice and has a Jacuzzi, spa, gym, bar, and more just for Ali'i guests. There is also the Duke Kahanamoku Beach and Lagoon, which is a 5 acre lagoon with white sand that is the perfect setting for a relaxing day filled with fun activities.

There are different bar and food menus by each pool.  We ate lunch every day by one of the 5 pools at The Hilton Hawaiian Village.  This menu is for the Super Pool.  We loved the nachos.

At least 1 Lava Flow is a must every single day by the pool!

This menu is for the Paradise Pool.  We loved the Portugese Sausage sandwich, the potato salad, and the BBQ pulled chicken sandwich.

Pineapple drinks by the Super Pool are always a good idea too!  You can only get these pineapple drinks at the bar inside the lobby where you check in.

There is a fitness center that is a fully equipped gym featuring cardio machines with personal TV screens, free weights and room to stretch. It is one the largest fitness centers in Waikiki.  There is also a barber shop, salon and spa, so you can pamper yourself while on vacation.

There is a 24 hour business center featuring computer work stations with high speed internet and guests also have the option of printing anything they may need. We printed our boarding passes for the flight home, which was very convenient and saved us time at the airport. Additional services include black and white copies, color copies, digital printing, fax services, layout and word processing, office supplies, packaging and shipping, rental equipment, and more.

Camp Penguin is a fun and exciting children's program. At Camp Penguin kids between the ages of 5-12 are invited to experience fun and educational activities.  There are full and half day programs.

ADA Facilities: Hilton Hawaiian Village has fully accessible standard guest rooms, audio/visual only standard guest rooms, and fully accessible guest rooms with both a roll in shower and a bath tub that can accommodate guests with disabilities. They have so much more, like braille door sign, lowered door peephole, raised electrical outlets, fire alarm strobe light, tub and toilet grab bars, handheld shower head, hearing impaired door knocker with flashing light to indicate knocking, tub seat, wheelchairs, and so much more. Hilton Hawaiian Village really takes pride in helping people with disabilities.

Hilton Hawaiian Village has some of the best restaurants, bars, and lounges right on property. There is Tropics, Rocky's, Waikiki Starlight Luau, Rainbow Lanai, Tapa Bar, Pronto Pickle, Bali Steak and Seafood, Blue Water Shrimp and Seafood Market, CJ's NY Style Deli, DQ/Orange Julius, Fresco Italian, Hatsuhana, Lanikai Juice, Lappert's, Wiki Wiki Market, Lagoon Grill, Round Table Pizza, two Starbucks and more! Dinning at Hilton Hawaiian Village offers something for everyone with their wide variety of restaurants and bars.

Epic Aloha is an interactive photo experience.  There are 12 rooms overflowing with aloha.  Located right at the Hilton Hawaiian Village East Exterior Entrance of Kalia Tower.  I am so sad we did not have the chance to do this.  I love a good pop up/interactive museum.  This one looks so fun!

There is always live entertainment at either the Tropics Bar and Grill or Tapa Bar. There are also fireworks every Friday night at 8 pm. The fireworks are just amazing and a must see if you are staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village. There is also a movie on the lawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays at sundown. So gather the family and watch a movie under the Hawaiian stars.

Hilton Hawaiian Village offers so many activities. There is a submarine adventure or Atlantis Cruise. You can also enjoy a premium sailing experience on a catamaran. If golf is your favorite pleasure time activity you have come to the right place because Oahu has some of the most beautiful courses. There is the Rockin' Hawaiian Rainbow Revue which is every Friday with live music and dance. There are also helicopter tours of the island. I love that there is a tour and activity desk in the main lobby or Tapa Concourse that can assist you with whatever you want. There is surfing, snorkeling, scuba, deep sea fishing, and more.

The shops are endless at Hilton Hawaiian Village.  There is a variety of fashion, designs, and unique gifts for everyone. Whether shopping for souvenirs for friends back home or splurging on something more personal, there is something for everyone. Also, discounts and savings at the shops and restaurants are welcomed for Hilton Hawaiian Village guests only.

Our favorite Honolulu Cookies are the chocolate chip ones, but really they are all good.

Lappert's ice cream is a must.  It is located right at Hilton Hawaiian Village.  Kona Coffee is my favorite.  Kennedy tried a different kind every single night.  Carter got the same vanilla bean every single night.  Blake's favorite is Kauai Pie.

Did you know the Rainbow Tower is made of more than 8,000 hand painted tiles and it is the tallest mosaic in the world?! It is worth staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village just to see this in person.

There is so much wildlife right at Hilton Hawaiian Village. There are koi fish, turtles, parrots, and birds all over the property. Guests can feed the koi fish. My kids loved seeing the fish, turtles, and birds every day.

There are so many other services that Hilton Hawaiian Village offers such as free WiFi, a wedding chapel, car rental, ATM machine, bus service, cashier (guests may cash personal checks up to $100 a day) easy check in and check out services, housekeeping, kids services (baby strollers and cribs for rent), laundry and valet service, florist, fax machine, a currency exchange is posted at the front desk by the main lobby everyday. There is also luggage storage, mail and mail pick up, maintenance, parking, photo processing, transportation services, wheelchairs and more.

Hawaii Five-O: Hilton Hawaii Village is a proud production partner of Hawaii Five-O. You can see Hilton Hawaiian Village featured in some of the Hawaii Five-O episodes throughout the season. Visit Tropics Bar and Grill or Tapa Bar and try one of the Hawaii Five-O inspired cocktails. A few years ago I was able to watch them film a little bit right by the Duke Kahanamoku Beach and Lagoon. It was so neat.

We stayed in the exclusive Ali'i Tower on this vacation. It was my third time staying in this tower and I love it. There are amenities and services only offered in the Ali'i tower, like an exclusive front desk and lounge to check in when you arrive, exclusive concierge desk and services, priority seating at Hilton owned restaurants, exclusive beach services, access to private pool, fitness center, massage treatments, pool concierge, access to the mixbar, robes, slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste in your room, Ali'i beach bag, and Keurig coffee maker, along with a tea kettle and as much complimentary tea, coffee, and water bottles as you can drink! I loved just being pampered and spoiled in the Ali'i Tower. That is how vacation should be. Plus, our ocean front view that overlooked Waikiki Beach was truly breathtaking.

This was the view from our balcony.  We could see the Ali'i pool and the beach.

This sign in the lobby gives you all the information about the fireworks, the Rainbow Lanai, and all the music and entertainment at the hotel.

Our room was amazing. I loved that the couch turned into a bed, so Carter and Kennedy each had their own bed on this trip. We had so much room. The beds are so comfortable and spacious you can easily fit two people in each bed.

Every day when we were down soaking up the sun, are room would be straightened up and fresh water bottles, and Keurig Kona Blend Coffee K-Cups would be filled every single day.  It was so nice.  There was also a tea kettle and tea in the room.

I loved that there was a desk in the room. There were plenty of outlets, which was so nice, because we could plug in iPads, sound machines, my laptop, iPhones, etc. I would work most nights after the kids went to bed.

I loved the complementary robes and slippers! It was such a nice touch.

It was really hard to come home when you see this view every single day and that rainbow was just extra special!
