Halloween At Disneyland and DCA

Halloween at Disneyland is our favorite time to visit.  Who am I kidding... any day in Disneyland is our favorite!  But we really do love Halloween.  Halloween at Disneyland started this year on September 15th and I cannot wait to see the new decorations at DCA!  Right when you walk up to DCA you will see a Halloween greeter.  It is Oogie Boogie from Nightmare Before Christmas, and once you go inside there are more Nightmare Before Christmas decorations to see.  Also, Mickey and the gang will be on Buena Vista Street in Halloween costumes!  Mickey will be a bat, Goofy will be a ghost, Daisy will be a witch, and Minnie is a fortune teller.  I also can't wait to see the statue of the headless horseman right in the middle of Buena Vista Street.  It will stand 10 feet tall.

Haul-O-Ween in Cars Land is going to be amazing.  The cars in Raidator Springs will be in costume, like Lighting McQueen, Red, Mater, and Cruz.  Shops will also change their names to Fillmore's Jack Oil Lanterns, Flo's Spider Car, and Witchy Miss Lizzie's Shop.  The rides will also change names too. Mater's Junkyard Jamboree will now be Mater's Junkyard JamBOOree.  Luigi's Rollicking Roadsters will now be Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween!

Mickey's Halloween Party in Disneyland is the best. I know lots of dates are already sold out, but personally I think it is a must! If you buy a special ticket to Mickey's Halloween Party you can enjoy DCA 3 hours before the Mickey's Halloween Party starts in Disneyland. This means you can visit both parks without purchasing a hopper ticket! You just have to purchase the Mickey's Halloween Party ticket.

Toon Town is my favorite at Mickey's Halloween Party. It starts at 5pm, but get in line early. You can see Mickey and his friends dressed up in different costumes than what you will see on Main Street or in DCA. They really cater to the kids in Toon Town and I could easily spend my entire night there during Mickey's Halloween Party.

This will be the second year for this Frightfully Fun Parade and I am going to be honest... I did not love it last year. It is very spooky. I was surprised not to see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, etc in the parade. The parade is all full of villains and kind of scary. The headless horseman leads the parade and that was super cool to see. The headless horseman did not scare Carter and Kennedy at all last year. The Halloween Screams Firework show happens after the parade, so make sure you get a great spot for the parade and fireworks.

Guardians Of Galaxy Mission Breakout will turn into Monsters After Dark every night once the sun sets.  There will be great music and the ride is sure to be fun!

Dia De Los Muertos will be celebrated in DCA.  There will be decorations, activities, and entertainment.  There will also be new foods inspired by the new film Coco, which comes out November 22.

I also love to see the gingerbread houses at the resort hotels.  Here is a sneak peak of the house at The Disneyland Hotel.

I cannot wait to do to Disneyland in October.  We are going for four days and of course going to Mickey's Halloween Party one night.  I can't wait to show you Carter and Kennedy's costumes!  There is nothing like Halloween at Disneyland!
