Soar Over To El Capitan Theatre To See Disney Aladdin

After seeing Dumbo at El Capitan Theatre (see that blog post here) I could not wait to see Disney Aladdin there as well. There is just no other theatre that puts on a production and show like El Capitan and I am here to share with you why you should see Disney Aladdin at El Capitan Theatre.

Not only do you get to experience the vibrant live action adaption of Disney Aladdin, but before the movie you can step on stage and enter the Cave Of Wonders for a magical photo op. You can view exclusive props and costumes from the film. You can rub the interactive magic lamp and take your photo. You will soar away on a magic carpet ride to a whole new world of music, laughter, and nonstop adventure of fun.

Across the street from El Capitan Theatre is MAC Cosmetics and they have a gigantic magic carpet outside of the store for you take photos on.  It was so cool.

You can rub the interactive magic lamp and we loved this photo op!

I made Carter's Aladdin outfit.  I found white pants and out of brown fabric added a patch on the knee.  I bought a light tan sweatshirt, a purple vest, and I bought brown felt for the sash around his waist.  I also made his hat with just red paper and a head band.

Kennedy's outfit is from Shop Disney.  You can find it here.

Every single employee was so friendly and nice. They answered any questions I had and they were so helpful. I am not kidding when I say every employee was happy to be there and they were just so very nice. From the moment you walk up to the theatre, there are several different movie posters to view and once you are inside you are greeted by the smell of popcorn, excitement and magic.

Downstairs you can view props and costumes from the film.

While waiting for the movie to start, we listened to the amazing Rob Richards play the organ. The colors in the theatre are vibrant and amazing. There is so much to see and look at, so make sure you take the time to really admire and check out the details of the theatre.

We drove from Fresno to see Aladdin at El Capitan and it was worth every single mile. It was the best movie theater experience we have ever had. Blake and I both agreed we will probably drive to El Capitan to see every Disney movie that comes out this year since there are some amazing movies being released. I can't repeat enough that it was worth the drive to see Aladdin at El Capitan and if you have kids they will love it! They also have complementary booster seats for children who might have a hard time seeing the screen. Another helpful tip of advice is that I recommend arriving at least an hour early if you are anything like me and want to look around, take your time, and take tons of photos.

Disney Aladdin is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future.  We loved the entire movie from start to finish, but I should share with you that Aladdin is one of our favorite Disney movies, so we were beyond excited to see this live action adaption.  The music, the cast, the costumes, and the sets were all amazing.  I laughed, cried, sang along to the songs, and was clapping loudly at the end.  I thought the cast was perfect.  Will Smith as the larger than life Genie was outstanding.  Mena Massoud as the charming scoundrel Aladdin was the absolute most perfect actor for the part.  Naomi Scott as Jasmine, the beautiful, self determined princess was insanely gorgeous.  I could not take my eyes off of her every time she was on the screen.  Marwan Kenzari as Jafar the powerful sorcerer is wicked as ever.  Nasim Pedrad as Dalia, Princess Jasmine's free spirited best friend and confidante was perfect for the role.  It is a must see movie this holiday weekend and I highly recommend it for the entire family.  Every age will love it, as the movie is rated PG.  Carter is 7 and Kennedy is 4 and they did not move once the entire 2 hours.
