Pixar Fest is happening now through September 3rd. We just spent 4 days in the parks and I am here to share with you everything you need to know in case you are planning a trip. We celebrated our favorite Pixar stories in both parks and it was so much fun. The characters, decor, entertainment, limited-edition merchandise, and themed food & beverage options were all amazing. Pixar Pier opens June 23rd and you can read about it here and if you are looking for a great place to stay that is close to both parks, read my blog post here.
Make sure you check out the Pixar character topiaries in Downtown Disney. They are amazing.
Love these signs that are at the entrance to both parks!
Together Forever: A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular lights up Disneyland Park like never before with dazzling pyrotechnics, musical themes from the films and most importantly the timeless theme of friendship ever present in most Pixar stories. I cried like a baby watching this fireworks show. Make sure you get a seat right in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. We waited about 2 hours, but it was totally worth it. I just brought lots of snacks and the kids played on their iPads until it was time for the show. Honestly, this show is amazing and I can't even put it into words. The fireworks show is nightly at 9:30 pm. You can also view the fireworks from Small World and on Main Street as well. You can see photos of the Together Forever A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular here.
The Pixar Play Parade is in Disneyland Park for the very first time. This beloved parade begins as most Pixar stories do with a first time appearance by the adorable Pixar lamp, followed by new show elements starring characters from Up and Inside Out. This parade is adorable and I loved it. Just an FYI, you do get wet at certain points during this parade if you are right in front. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the parade is at 3:30 pm and 6:00 pm. Monday through Thursday it is at 6:00 pm only. There are Pixar Play Parade dining packages and you can read about them here.
Don't forget to ride these 2 Pixar rides in Disneyland: Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and Finding Nemo Submarine.

Paint the Night parade returns! Only this time it's at Disney California Adventure Park! This mesmerizing procession spotlights many Pixar stories, including characters from Toy Story, Monsters, Inc. and Cars, in addition to an all-new Pixar story (The Incredibles) joining the parade later in 2018. The parade plays nightly at 8:50 pm. There are Paint the Night dining packages and you can read about them here. This parade is our favorite ever.
Waiting for Paint the Night with the Hutzler family! Thank goodness for iPads and Mickey lollipops!

Pixar Shorts: a new film festival taking place throughout much of Pixar Fest, will offer rotating favorites such as For the Birds and Lava at the Sunset Showcase Theater in Hollywood Land. I love these little shorts. Plus, it is a great way to relax or cool off for just a little bit this summer when you are in the parks.
The Paradise Gardens area features a new Pixar-themed musical troupe, character greeting opportunities, and crafts and activities for your little ones. We loved Paradise Gardens. We met so many of our favorite Pixar characters. You can see characters from 11:00 am to 6:30 pm.
They have all the Pixar movie posters displayed too! It is so neat.
Don't forget to check out these Pixar rides and shows in DCA: Incredicoaster (opening June 23), Flick's Flyers, Francis Ladybug Boogie, Heimlich's Choo Choo Train, It's Tough To Be A Bug, Princess Dot Puddle Park, Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters, Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, Monster's INC., Radiator Springs Racers, Tuck and Rolls Drive 'Em Boogies, Turtle Talk With Crush, Toy Story Mideay Mania.
At Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar you can see photos, details and boards of exactly what Pixar Pier will look like this summer.
This was the kids' first time riding the monorail. We got to ride in the nose cone (the very front section). It only seats 4 people, so it was perfect for us! The kids loved it! Plus all the monorails are decorated for Pixar Fest. We rode in The Incredibles one.
Dumbo is back open and we are loving the new paint job and the new line under the star studded tent, which is all in the shade!
Kennedy and her new Tinkerbell doll
One of our favorite places to eat is Flo's V8 Cafe
Kennedy also rode Radiator Springs Racers for the first time and she loved it!
We love Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters! She told me I had to take her picture because her bow matched her car!
Ready for breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen with the Hutzler family! I just recently wrote a blog post on the character dining experiences and you can read that here.
You can read about our cute shoes here.
Jenny is one of my dearest friends. She is also a blogger. You can check out her blog here. Her family is amazing, we have kids the same age and we all love spending time together.
