DISNEYLAND AND MICKEY'S HALLOWEEN PARTY!

We just spent three magical days in Disneyland.  We literally rode everything, saw every show and did everything we wanted to do.  We go every October and it is my favorite time of year to visit the parks. No matter how old I get each year, I always feel like a kid again in Disneyland and there is nothing more magical than watching and experiencing Disneyland through Carter and Kennedy's eyes. From the moment you feel the sunshine on your face walking down Main Street, venturing on to meet your favorite characters, Disney magic surrounds you every where you go. There is a castle straight ahead that always makes you feel at home. Journey through the gates to an enchanted land where flying ships sail to Neverland, cozy rabbit holes lead to wonderland, and a world that is small after all. It is a place where you think you have seen everything when you see an elephant fly and a wooden puppet dance with no strings, all it takes is a little pixie dust!

Day 1: We stayed in DCA all day and night. We ate on the wharf at Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill.  We love that place.  We rode all our favorite rides and saw World Of Color that night.

Getting ready to leave

This is the first time ever DCA characters have dressed up for Halloween.

We loved Cars Land all decorated for Halloween.  It was amazing.

Mickey and Minnie Halloween PJ's of course!  Mama even had on some too!

Day 2: We started in Disneyland, had lunch at Naples in Downtown Disney, got the kids changed into their Halloween costumes and went back into Disneyland for Mickey's Halloween Party. We love Mickey's Halloween Party. We go straight to Toon Town. All the characters are in Toon Town in special Halloween costumes that you do not see anywhere else. We loved Toon Town and the characters. After we did everything in Toon Town we headed to grab dinner at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe. They have great sandwiches, soups and desserts. So the kids had grilled cheese sandwiches, I had a grilled cheese with tomato soup, and Blake had a caprese sandwich. We also got some Mickey bat cookies and everything was so good. We got a seat for the Halloween parade on Main Street and watched the parade then called it a night. I liked the parade much better than last year. They started this new Halloween parade last year. The headless horesman leads the parade and he did not scare Carter and Kennedy at all. I love how they added Mickey, Minnie, and Ursula to the parade this year!  The kids also road Haunted Mansion Holiday for the first time.  We try to make the kids ride a new ride every time we go.

So many celebrities were in the parks when we were there (Brie Larson, Mya Rudolph, Vince Vaughn and Amy Adams) and I even saw a few of them, but was only able to score my picture with In Real Life.  They are the 5 boys who won on the show Boy Band on ABC.

Jasmine and Aladdin

We got really lucky to spend some time with Aladdin, Jasmine and the Genie!  The kids were so excited.

Day 3: We hopped back and forth from Disneyland to DCA.  We had lunch at Tortilla Joes in Downtown Disney.  We had dinner in Disneyland at Stage Door Cafe (best chicken strips and fries ever) and we got a front row table that faced Fantasmic and we stayed right there and had great seats for the show.  After Fantasmic we called it a night.

While Carter and I rode Soarin' Kennedy and Blake hung out in Animation Academy and met some friends. We love Animation Academy and the new Disney Junior Dance Party.

Waiting for Fantasmic to start.  As soon as it started Kennedy fell asleep in Blake's lap.

We are already counting down the days until we go back!  There is no place like Disneyland!  Here is a look back on our annual photo with the Mickey Pumpkin.
