Still Celebrating Our Super Hero

Carter turned the big 5 on Monday and we have been celebrating all day everyday for the past couple weeks!  Last week we had a Jake and the Never Land Pirates birthday party at Sky Walk, which you can read about here.  On Monday (his actual birthday) I did a super hero theme to celebrate.  He has been way into super heroes and I do not even know how or why because we literally watch Disney Junior or Nick Jr. so he has never seen anything with The Justice League or Marvel, but I think he just likes the idea of it and thinks they are super cool (or that is what he tells me at least).  Monday was a SUPER awesome day!  Carter was up at 6am and greeted by Spider Man (Blake) and Captain America (Uncle Garrett) in the living room.  There were tons of gifts, all super hero themed wrapped in super hero wrapping paper.  There were cupcakes with super hero logo cupcake toppers and after opening presents and eating breakfast we went to Chuck E Cheese.  It is usually such a madhouse and their pizza is terrible, so I swore I would never take my kids there, but when you go at 10am right when they open and you have the place to yourself its not so bad.  Carter, Kennedy, and his cousins rode rides and played games for a little over an hour and then we ate lunch at CPK.  After lunch we came home and rested for a bit and went to dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory because Carter loves the bread and pasta there.  We ended our night at home with cupcakes.  All day and night Carter just kept saying how awesome his birthday was, so it made me happy to know he loved every minute of his special day!

Blake and I made him this super hero tie blanket and he loved it.

Little sis wanted in on the action too

And everyday this is what my son has been looking like.  Some sort of cape, mask, and super hero PJs.  I would not have it any other way!
