This past Saturday my sister Ashley hosted a baby shower for me and Carter. Many of you may know that I love throwing parties honoring and celebrating others, but I don't like parties thrown for me and having the attention on me. I was against having any baby showers because I feel a little strange asking close friends or family to buy specific things for me and Carter that I have picked out. Despite my reservations, I had a great time on Saturday. My sister hosted her very first baby shower and did a great job. The shower was supposed to be in my backyard, but due to the unseasonable storms in Fresno on Saturday, we moved it indoors. It worked out just fine and everyone was comfortable and seemed to have a wonderful time. The tables were so cute, the food was delicious, the cookie favors with Carter's initials were adorable and super yummy, and the cupcakes for dessert were awesome! Carter and I received some amazing gifts and I am so thankful for everything we were blessed with on Saturday! I cannot begin to thank all of my friends for coming on Saturday. Thank you for taking the time out of your weekend, away from your children, families, husbands, boyfriends, work, etc. and spending the day with me. Thank you for driving in the rain and being there for me. I really can't thank you all enough. You are all amazing friends and I am so blessed to have you in my life. I love you all. I hope when I spoke about each of you on Saturday, you understood how much you all mean to me. I can't wait for Carter to meet all of you. Thank you again for coming and blessing Carter and me!
