Our Caribbean Cruise With Holland America

Blake and I went on a Caribbean cruise and it was amazing. It was so nice for the two of us to get away somewhere exotic and warm. We had a wonderful time. We just love cruising with Holland America because they have so much to offer on and off the boat. Here is a brief rundown of our first few days...

We flew from San Jose to Fort Lauderdale, FL. They fed us lunch on the plane (I LOVE Continental) we saw the movie The Women (not so good). I spilled my cran-apple juice all over Blake's white Nike Air Force 1 tennis shoes and he was not so happy with me. I'm sure it didn't help matters that he had to pay extra for my bag since it was overweight. Hey, a girl has to have lots of options when she's on her first vacation to the Caribbean!

When we arrived at the Hyatt in Florida on Friday night, they had given our room away by accident and upgraded us into a suite! It was amazing and huge. The view was spectacular. Too bad we were barely in the room for 12 hours.

We boarded the cruise ship on Saturday, took a walk around the ship to check everything out, and ate lunch & dinner on the boat. Luckily, we were also blessed with an upgraded room on the cruise. It was so nice to have a huge window, couch, table and chairs, desk, shower and a tub, since we only paid for a standard room! I loved it!!! We were also invited to have lunch with the Captain John Scott at the mariners society brunch because we have cruised with Holland America before, but we passed because it would have cut into my Bingo time!

We spent Sunday at sea. We laid out by the pool all day and the Caribbean sun was much more intense than I imagined... ouch! We played Bingo twice and a had a wonderful dinner in the Rembrant dining room. There was also an incredible Vegas style production show with singing and dancing. Loved it!
