I love planning easy crafts and activities to keep the kids busy and I have the perfect one to share with you today! Check out the tutorial here.
Let’s make a Disney Junior Sofia the First: Royal Magic amulet to celebrate the new series premiering May 25th. For this craft, you only need purple paper, string, glue, and some rhinestones. Start by drawing an oval shape on the purple paper and cutting it out. Then glue a piece of string to the back to turn it into a necklace. Add rhinestones all over the front for some sparkle and that’s it, you’re done! The show follows Sofia as she attends the Charmswell School for Royal Magic, where she discovers she’s the most magical princess in the realm. She has to learn how to use her powers while making new royal friends along the way.
Also, there’s a new short-form series called Sofia the First: Magical Friends available now on Disney Junior, Disney+, and Disney Junior’s YouTube channel. It introduces Sofia’s new school, her friends Princess Layla, Princess Camila, Prince Zane, and even the adorable castle pets like Pepper the Puppercorn.
And one more really special thing, Sofia the First: Royal Magic is part of Disney’s 2026 Teacher Appreciation Week campaign with DonorsChoose. Yvette Nicole Brown, who voices one of Sofia’s new teachers and serves as Vice Chair of the DonorsChoose Board, helped kick off the campaign.
