Last weekend I wanted to create something fun and festive for the kids. If you have been following us for a while you know how much we love having movie nights at home. This weekend I decided to really go all out and add some Christmas magic. We put on our matching Christmas pajamas, had candy, popcorn, hot cocoa and watched the Polar Express on DIRECTV STREAM.

You can have a movie watch party at home and keep it simple with popcorn and candy. I wanted our Polar Express watch party to be a memorable experience, so I added gold streamers, balloons, several different treats and Christmas bells like in the movie.
The best part was that each of my children had a movie ticket invitation to our Christmas movie night. They loved getting their movie ticket punched just like in the Polar Express and swinging through the Kringle Concessions for a snack before the movie started. Plus, they both picked up a Christmas bell just like in the film.
The bell symbolizes not only a belief in magic, but a kind of joyful openheartedness that many children have and that many grown people have forgotten over time in the Polar Express.
