HALLOWEEN TIME AT DISNEYLAND 2022

You can see this amazing mural in DTD.  It is celebrating Hispanic and Latin American Cultures.  The artist is Asia Ellington.

We just spent 3 days visiting the happiest place on earth!  We love Disneyland and Halloween time in Disneyland is our favorite. We love visiting with the characters in their NEW festive costumes, eating all the special treats, riding all the rides, going to the Oogie Boogie Bash and making the most magical memories.  If you are planning a trip to Disneyland click HERE for the best discounted tickets.

You can find this Hocus Pocus backdrop in DTD.  We were so excited to see it since we LOVE Hocus Pocus and Hocus Pocus 2.

The window displays are so cute!

The first day we walked, shopped and ate our way through DTD.  We all enjoyed Pluto's Scavenger Hunt.  For years we have always participated in the Easter Eggstravaganza hunt that they have in the parks and DTD.  The kids love it.  This year we were so excited to participate in Pluto's Scavenger Hunt for the second time.  Purchase a game board and stickers for only $9.99 at select merchandise locations, including World of Disney, Disney’s Pin Traders, Disney Home, The Disney Dress Shop and WonderGround Gallery.  Have fun hunting for hidden decorative pumpkins themed to Disney characters and placing the corresponding stickers on your game board.  Whether you choose to hunt for pumpkins or not, return your game board to a redemption location at World of Disney or Disney’s Pin Traders for a small Disney Halloween bucket.  There are four to chose from.

Mickey Mouse with a Halloween mask on.  So cute.

Taking a photo with the giant Mickey pumpkin is a must every single year!  It is my favorite.

The characters all have new costumes this year and we love them all!

Kennedy rode Indiana Jones for the first time and probably the last.  She did not love it.

Make sure you ride Haunted Mansion Holiday in Orleans Square. It has a seasonal overlay and it is not scary at all. My kids love it. This attraction is super popular from September through December. You can fit up to 3 people in each cart.  You can meet Jack and Sally by the exit of Pirates of the Caribbean.

There is a small little Halloween parade that comes through Disneyland twice a day.  Check for times with a Disneyland employee.

On the night of Halloween in 2007 this stately Oak officially became The Halloween Tree.  It is so beautiful to see during the day or at night when it is lite up.

We love this Dia De Los Muertos display in Frontierland.

We went to Naples for dinner in DTD (which we love) and went back in the park for more visits with characters, rides and treats.

We also went to Oogie Boogie Bash.  There are so many ways to celebrate Halloween at Disneyland and DCA even if you don't go to the Oogie Boogie Bash in DCA. The Oogie Boogie Bash is an after hours event and you need a special ticket for it. We have gone to the Halloween Party every single year and it is the best.

Watch our YouTube video here of our fun night at Oogie Boogie Bash.

Captain Marvel and Spiderman are ready for the Oogie Boogie Bash!

Meeting the Sanderson Sisters was the best!  They are located at Hollywood Back Lot.  They were new this year.

Cruella is in Hollywood Land backlot.

Mother Gothel is new this year and she is located at Grizzly River Run

Maleficent is by Soarin'

Sid is in Pixar Pier

Dr. Fracilier is by the Golden Zephyr

Agatha is in Avengers Campus

Oogie Boogie is in Animation Academy

Ernesto De La Cruz in Bountiful Valley Hideway (between Avengers Campus and Carthay Circle).  He is new this year.

Madam Mim is new this year and she is located at Hyperion Theater.

The parade is at 7:45 pm and 10pm

Bruno is at Grizzly Peak and he is new this year.

Headless Horseman Statue is in DCA. There is a 10 foot statue on Buena Vista Street. At night it becomes a little spooky, but is a must see.

Haul-O-Ween in Cars Land: Make sure you stop by Cars Land to see it all decorated for Halloween. It is amazing. Make sure you meet and greet with the Cars characters in Halloween costumes. Lighting McQueen is a superhero. Mater is a vampire. Red is a clown and Cruz is a pirate. The rides all have a Halloween overlay and make sure you take your photo in front of the Cars Land welcome sign right when you enter and the spider car right by Flo's V8 Cafe.

We love riding Mater's Graveyard JamBOOree

We finally got to see the HULK!  He is in DCA at Avenger's Campus for a limited time.  Click here to watch a video of how the Hulk comes out and greets everyone!!

We left the parks to take the kids to the LEGO store.  We made an appointment for the kids to make their very own mini figures.  They were so excited and it was a really cool experience.

Watch the tutorial here.

We ate dinner at Black Tap in DTD and went back into Disneyland for more characters, rides and treats!

We ended our night on Dumbo.

Here are some of our favorite foods that are always a must on our trips!

Ronto Wraps in Star Wars Land at Ronto Roasters in Disneyland.

This cookie butter churro sundae is at Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland / Disneyland.

This beef bulgogi burrito from Lucky Fortune Cookery is amazing in DCA.

Churro Gears at Maurice's Treats in Disneyland.

These tacos at Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill are a favorite.  We love the quesabirria tacos and the dorados de papa tacos.  This is in DCA.

Jalapeno Cheese Pretzel from Refreshment Corner in Disneyland.

Cheddar Garlic Bagel Twist from Maurice's Treats with marinara sauce.  This is in Disneyland.

We visited the Disneyland Hotel and I loved how they decorated for Halloween.

While this cake might seem like a trick, it is all a treat!  It is made from 260 pounds of powdered sugar, 380 eggs, 220 pounds of rice cereal, 95 pounds of marshmallow, 80 pounds of butter, 120 pounds of dark chocolate, 80 pounds of white chocolate and 480 pounds of fondant!  The Oogie Boogie Cauldron is over 4 feet tall and you can find 13 hidden Mickeys!  You can see this at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel.

All three hotels (The Grand, Paradise Pier and Disneyland Hotel) have a Pumpkin Carver Performance.  You can see a wonderful display of carving pumpkins in each hotel.  10am - 12pm Disneyland Hotel, 1pm - 3pm Paradise Pier and 4pm - 6pm The Grand.  It was so fun!

We stayed at The Grand Californian Hotel.  It is our favorite.  They had lots of activities going on, like the pumpkin carver performance, acapella groups performing spooky tunes and every Tuesday and Thursday guests can decorate their own faux pumpkin from 1pm - 2pm.  They even do a Disneyland Hotel Tour every Saturday from 1pm - 2pm.  There is so much fun to be had while staying on property.

Read more about the hotel here from our last stay in May.
