Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are happening right now. Experience the most magical time of the year with celebrations throughout both parks from November 11, 2022 to January 8, 2023! We love visiting with characters in their festive costumes, trying all the special treats, riding Small World, and making magical memories.  Are you planning a trip soon? Here is my must-see-and-do list for Disneyland and DCA this year at Christmas. Disneyland

Blake's parents joined us for a fun day in Disneyland and DCA.  They have not been in years and it was so fun to show them the Disney Parks at Christmas time.

You definitely can't miss the Christmas Fantasy parade. Beloved Disney Characters join Santa Claus for a merry musical celebration, heading your way down Main Street, U.S.A. This parade happens two times per day, at 3:30 pm and 6:30pm.

Watch the Christmas Fantasy Parade here.

Ring in the Season with prancing reindeer, marching toy soldiers, dancing gingerbread cookies and more. A Christmas Fantasy Parade brings the most magical time of the year to Disneyland Park! Delightful holiday highlights include Mickey and Minnie working with Chip ‘n Dale to organize an avalanche of letters to Santa. Anna, Elsa and Olaf bid you a warm winter welcome from their fantastic Frozen realm. Woody and Buzz give a playful wave from atop giant wooden building blocks. The Disney Princesses dance at the Candlelight Ball. In the grand finale, wave hello to Santa Claus himself. It’s a Christmas fantasy you’ll never forget! Viewing Tips: arrive early to find the best possible viewing spot, especially if you plan to see the show along Main Street, U.S.A. There are also excellent viewing spots near "It’s a Small World" Holiday. Watch the video HERE of the parade.

Set sail along a wondrous wintry waterway transformed with whimsical décor. Behold jubilant regional adornments all along your world tour of good cheer. Listen as the costumed chorus of children sings the classic “It’s a Small World (After All)” song and traditional holiday tunes. Listen for the South Sea mermaids who sing “Jingle Shells” and leave a plate of fish for Santa. Do not miss "It's a Small World" Holiday Lighting at 5:15pm.

Believe In Holiday Magic Fireworks Spectacular. Feel your spirit soar during this splendid pyrotechnical spectacle. As the sky overhead lights up with dazzling color, more than 80,000 twinkling lights illuminate Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle with sparkling “icicles” and shimmering snow-capped turrets. The show is at 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm.

Snow Before You Go! As a special wintry treat, experience a magical snowfall all around you when you head over to “It’s a Small World” Holiday and portions of the Main Street, U.S.A. area and celebrate the holiday season in grand style at this joyous jubilee in lights!

Decked Out for the Hallow-Days! Pumpkin King Jack Skellington has been busy decorating the Haunted Mansion with frightfully festive touches inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.

You can also meet Jack and Sally by the exit to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and Jack is even in his Santa suit!

Meet Santa in Critter Country

Don't miss the Christmas tree lighting on Main Street U.S.A., which happens nightly at 5pm. Also make sure you take a photo with the Main Street tree!

Make sure you get your hands on a Mickey Gingerbread cookie. They are amazing. You can find them at Jolly Holiday, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and other places around the parks.

Don't forget to try other seasonal foods and treats while you are in the parks.  This turkey cranberry sandwich from Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe was amazing.  It's called the Thank Mas sandwich.

Visit with characters on Main Street U.S.A and all throughout the park.  They are in new outfits this year!

Don't miss The Dapper Dans performing Christmas classics

There is so much to see and do at Christmas time in Disneyland. We love seeing all the beautiful decor around the park, visiting with characters, eating our favorite treats and trying new ones, watching the Christmas tree and Sleeping Beauty castle light up, taking in the snow fall on Main Street U.S.A, watching the Christmas parade, listening to The Dapper Dans perform and seeing Santa! There is nothing like Disneyland at Christmas time!

DCA

We really love DCA. There is Avengers Campus, Pixar Pier, Cars Land, the rides, and the food options are amazing. Here is everything you can't miss this holiday season. I definitely recommend visiting DCA. It's the best!

Buena Vista Street and that tree just make me smile!

Meet Santa at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.  The joyful elves have transformed Redwood Creek Challenge Trail into a jolly playground of holiday fun.

Pick up a Mickey Snowman Cookie Decorating Kit and Holiday Mix while you wait in line to meet Santa.

Watch Mickey's Happy Holidays Show.  I would stand right in front of Under the Sea Journey of The Little Mermaid. Dance along with Mickey Mouse and pals to the magically merry rhythms of the Holiday Toy Drummers. It is a joyous traveling party.  It plays at 12:20 / 1:45 / 3:45 / 5:15

Don't forget to try seasonal foods and treats while you are in the parks.  Also in DCA is the Festival of Holidays!

Watch Viva Navidad Street Party. The Three Caballeros host a fun street party featuring folklorico and samba dancers along with Mickey and Minnie in their fiesta best. At Paradise Gardens enjoy festive bands, holiday foods, and Disney characters.

You can watch Disney Viva Navidad Street Party at 12:05 / 1:15 / 2:15 / 3:50 / 4:45 / 5:45

Right in front of Under the Sea Journey of The Little Mermaid ride check out the arts and crafts they have for all ages. There are crafts to celebrate Christmas, Navidad, Hanukkah, Diwali, Kwanzaa, and Three Kings Day.

Visit Cars Land. It is all decorated for Christmas and it is so fun. Make sure you visit Cars Land right at sunset to see all the lights turn on. Check out a fun video HERE of Cars Land.

Watch the Holiday Toy Drummers. They perform at 9:45 am / 10:45 am / 11:40 am / 12:40 pm / 2:45 pm. The mischievous Holiday Toy Drummers march to their own merry beat as they perform precision drills with holiday cheer. They perform right in front of Under the Sea Journey of The Little Mermaid ride.

Avengers Campus

In celebration of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, new heroes are at Avengers Campus inside Disney California Adventure Park, including M’Baku. Suit up and drop by for a visit!

There is so much to see and do at Christmas time in DCA. We love seeing all the beautiful décor around the park, visiting with characters, eating our favorite treats and trying new ones, the Festival of Holidays, Mickey's Happy Holidays, visiting with Santa, the Holiday Toy Drummers, the rides, and more. DCA is so festive and fun this holiday season.

Don't miss this beautiful mural in DTD for Black Panther Wakanda Forever.

All of DTD is decorated for the holidays.  There are trees, nutcrackers and so much more.

Make sure you take a photo by The Santa Clauses backdrop in DTD.  We went to the premiere which you can read about here.

Visit Disney's Grand Californian Hotel to see the tree, gingerbread house and hear the carolers sing.  Visit The Disneyland Hotel to see the tree and the festive Christmas decorations.  The kids love to see the gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and find the hidden Mickeys.
