The Goldbergs Q&A with Wendi McLendon-Covey & Hayley Orrantia

This week I had the opportunity to screen an early episode of The Goldbergs and interview Wendi McLendon Covey and Hayley Orrantia. I could not get the smile off my face. If you know me or my family personally you know we have never missed an episode of The Goldbergs and we have been watching since season 1. I am an overbearing (s)mother just like Beverly. We are also HUGE fans of Big City Greens on the Disney Channel and Wendi McLendon Covey voices Nancy (the mom) on the show. You can only imagine my excitement when I got to chat with Wendi McLendon Covey and Hayley Orrantia.

The Goldbergs are back for a monumental 10th season celebrating everything we love about our favorite ‘80s household while also welcoming a new season of life. With everyone living back under the same roof and Beverly preparing for her new role as Grandsmotherer, there is more Goldbergs pandemonium than ever!

The Goldbergs is such a feel-good show and it continues to remind us that there is no bond greater than family, and there is nothing they can’t handle with each other's support. I swear I laugh and cry in every episode.

In the new episode "Uncle-ing" airing Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 8:30/7:30c on ABC (and available the next day on Hulu) with Erica's due date approaching, Erica is over the exhausting pregnancy and demands a “babymoon.” When things take an unforeseen turn, Geoff is tasked with producing the one person Erica needs more than anyone. Meanwhile, Adam and Barry seek out advice on “uncle-ing” from some unexpected sources.

The episode is full of laughs and each episode always makes me reminisce about something from my childhood or past and I love that!

It was so nice chatting with Wendi and Hayley.  They talked about what kind of mom Erica might be on the show with a mom like Beverly and what kind of grandmother Beverly will be.  They shared stories of their own crazy, but favorite relatives.  They spoke about what has been their favorite episode after all these years and more.
