Best Family Friendly Hotel In LA: Sheraton Universal

Over the last couple of years we have been spending more and more time in LA. We are so blessed to be invited to press junkets for movies, advance movie screenings, movie premieres and more. Almost all of these events happen right in Los Angeles and I like to stay somewhere that is centrally located, has a variety of restaurants nearby, in addition to shopping, activities for the kids, and more. My favorite place to stay is at the Sheraton Universal Hotel. It checks off everything on my list and more.  You can see a little bit about our recent stay here.

I know with the pandemic rules are constantly changing.  So I suggest before you go, make sure you know the guidelines about mask requirements, if the gym and pool are accessible and if room service is available.

The Sheraton Universal Hotel is beautifully decorated for Christmas right now.  There is a gingerbread house, Christmas trees, nutcrackers and more throughout the hotel.

The Sheraton Universal hotel is convenient and it caters to families, has a friendly staff, clean, comfortable beds, a decent size bathroom, and more.

I cannot count how many times we have stayed at the Sheraton Universal Hotel. We stay there every single time we visit Universal Studios Hollywood or attend events at Universal CityWalk. City Walk is full of amazing restaurants, shopping, movie theater, activities, and more. The Sheraton Universal Hotel is walking distance to the park. There is also a hotel shuttle that will take you from the hotel to the park and back. It is so nice and convenient. It is also 2.8 miles away from the Warner Brothers Studio and 3.1 miles from the Hollywood Bowl. These are great activities to do with kids and the entire family.

Enjoy a range of recreational amenities, including an outdoor pool, a spa tub, and a fitness center. This hotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services, and gift shops/newsstands.

Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Planning an event in Universal City? This hotel has facilities measuring 28,590 square feet, including conference space. Self parking and valet parking are both available onsite.

Satisfy your appetite for lunch at The California's, a restaurant that specializes in American cuisine, or stay in and take advantage of the room service (my personal favorite is the club sandwich, fries, soda and side of BBQ sauce - it's the best). Quench your thirst with your favorite drink at the bar/lounge. Full breakfasts are available daily from 5:30 AM to 10:30 AM. I also love that Sheraton Universal has a very affordable room service menu and they even have a kids breakfast menu that my kids love.

Make yourself at home in one of the 457 air-conditioned rooms featuring refrigerators and LCD televisions. The beds come with down comforters and premium bedding (it is like sleeping on clouds). Complimentary wired and wireless Internet access keeps you connected, and cable programming provides entertainment. Private bathrooms have designer toiletries and hair dryers.

So if you will be visiting the Los Angeles area and you are looking for a place to stay that is family friendly, close to Universal Studios and Universal City Walk, serves Starbucks Coffee in the lobby, has clean, comfortable beds, a welcoming staff and more, make sure you book a room at the Sheraton Universal Hotel. It is my favorite place to stay when we visit Universal Studios because it is so convenient, plus it is so close to Hollywood and Highland where I go for movie screenings or premieres and it is close to The Grove, my favorite shopping center. I could go on and on about the Sheraton Universal, so make sure you check it out for yourself.

When we stayed recently at Sheraton Universal we shopped at The Grove.  It is all decorated for Christmas and is my favorite shopping area.  I also love that it is all outdoors.  They have a trolley you can ride, a beautiful Christmas tree, dancing water fountain, nightly snowfalls, and so much more.

We also visited Universal Studios to celebrate the holiday season and we love Grinchmas at Universal Studios.  You can read all about our visit to Universal Studios here.
