Our Stay At The Disneyland Hotel

Just recently we spent 4 days visiting the happiest place on earth to celebrate the holiday season! We stayed at The Disneyland Hotel. It has been years since we stayed there and it was so convenient, and fun. What I love most about this hotel is the easy access to the Downtown Disney District and theme parks thanks to the close proximity of the hotel. It is so nice. Toss on a pair of Mickey ears and let me tell you why you need to stay at The Disneyland Hotel.  You can watch a fun video HERE of our stay.

Become immersed in the spirit of Disneyland past and present! Stay in the Adventure, Fantasy or Frontier tower, each an homage to the park’s original lands, and delight in the sleek, ultra-modern design at every turn. Located just steps from the Downtown Disney District, this hotel is a short stroll to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

The lobby is so big and spacious and has a wonderful sitting area for all ages to watch Mickey shorts while parents, friends or family are checking in.

The lobby has beautiful silver tinsel Christmas trees.

The kids thought these tea cup chairs were so fun!

This area is so cute all decorated for Christmas.  They do it every single year.

From the moment you drive up you are greeted with a warm smile, an employee waving at you with Mickey gloves (the kids loved this) and help with your luggage. There is the option of valet or self parking. Check in was a breeze and we asked for a room on the first floor so we would not have to take an elevator due to precautions we are taking, but unfortunately they do not have any rooms on the first floor, so we settled for the second floor.

In October we stayed at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and they do have rooms on the first floor and you can read about our stay HERE.

We stayed in the Adventure Tower.

Our room was very nice. It had two queen beds, a couch that opened up to a twin bed, a chair with a sitting area, a closet, a spacious bathroom and so much more. The rooms came with a fridge, Keurig, blow dryer, iron, and more. It was perfect for our family.

Rooms at the Disneyland Hotel are both sophisticated and whimsical, paying loving tribute to the classic years of the Disneyland Park. Upscale styling, state-of-the-art amenities, and special Disney furnishings including light-up Sleeping Beauty Castle headboards and timeless artwork provide a stay your entire family will treasure.  The headboard is my personal favorite.

There are wonderful dining options like Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill, Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar, The Coffee House, Goofy's Kitchen.  Goofy's Kitchen is a character dining experience and you can read about it HERE.

We even caught Chip n' Dale outside and we got to visit with them!

Enjoy a splash from the past at 2 retro-themed pools and 2 waterslides that celebrate the imagination and legacy of Disneyland Park.  Pool hours, slide operating times and lifeguard availability vary by pool and weather conditions, and are subject to change.

E-Ticket Pool: Go for a dip at this pool that pays tribute to the park’s early days with decorative signs resembling the theme park tickets of yesteryear. Located at the north end of the courtyard plaza, the sprawling, 4,800-square-foot E-Ticket Pool is perfect for a relaxing morning or afternoon swim just before time spent in the parks or at the Downtown Disney District.

Monorail Waterslides: Soak up some thrills at the 2 winding waterslides that feature replicas of the original Mark 1 Monorail trains. Make a big splash from the approximately 25-foot-high, 180-foot-long Red Monorail slide or enjoy a more relaxing splashdown atop the 13-foot-high, 80-foot-long Yellow Monorail slide.

A 2-lane mini slide designed for smaller children also spills out into a small pool, while pop jets, fountains and a surging waterfall add to the fun. This nostalgic water play area is topped by a “Disneyland” sign reminiscent of the park’s classic years.

D-Ticket Pool: Located nearby, the refreshing D-Ticket pool is an ideal place for Guests looking to swim laps.

For a more serene aquatic experience, lounge the day away in the bubbling Mickey or Minnie Spa whirlpool, or sunbathe from the comfort of a private, poolside cabana for an added fee. At select times, enjoy food and beverage service at the pools from nearby Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar and Tangaroa Terrace Casual Island Dining

There is also a fitness center. Work out and stay fit while on vacation at the Fitness Center, temporarily located in the Mark Twain Room at the Frontier Tower. Cardio and weight machines are available to Guests of the Disneyland Hotel seeking exercise while on vacation.

Shop til you drop in the Fantasy Tower at 2 retail stores.  Disney’s Fantasia Shop and small world Gifts & Sundries offer special edition pins, toys, apparel, collectibles and sundries for sale.
