Kennedy is a huge fan of American Girl and playing video games. So she was more than a little excited when American Girl announced its collaboration with XBox to celebrate girls in gaming and we were even more thrilled to be asked to participate in the launch. Kennedy got to select whatever Truly Me doll she wanted and was sent the entire new collection, which consists of a fun mix of accessories to take gaming to the next level with your Truly Me doll and the AG/Xbox Gaming Set, which features a FREE one month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate that parents can access online.
Choose a friend that celebrates who your girl is inside and out. A leader on the sports field. A star on the stage. A whiz in the classroom. With Truly Me, every girl can tell her own story of who she is and who she wants to be. The 18" Truly Me doll has lifelike eyes that open and close smoothly, realistic hair that can be styled, a soft cotton body, and a movable head and limbs made of smooth vinyl. She arrives wearing a star-print dress, a nylon bomber jacket with a star graphic on the chest and pink molded glitter sneakers. You can find Kennedy's Truly Me doll here.
I also love the paperback book Friends: Making Them & Keeping Them. This interactive book helps girls learn how to make new friends and make the most of the friendships they have. It’s full of quizzes, crafts, advice, and true stories. The book comes with the doll. You can purchase the book here.
American Girl and Xbox are teaming up to break down the outdated notion of what a “gamer” looks like. Did you know more than 214 million people in the US play video games and more women are gaming than ever before!
The set includes an 18” doll, Xbox Series X console, two Xbox game discs, a headset, two Xbox Wireless Controllers, a cell phone, a Xbox Game Pass card, an American Girl chair, water bottle, candy box, fidget spinner and sticker sheet to customize the Xbox Series X console and a 30-day Xbox Game Pass Ultimate code. The outfit features a red hooded sweatshirt with an Xbox Wireless Controller graphic on the front, black denim jeans, and canvas sneakers to fit an 18” American Girl doll. You can find everything here.
Kennedy's American Girl Orange Tabby Cat can be found here.
I love that American Girl has countless sets for just about every interest a child could possibly have. I love to see the company grow and adapt to what children are into, which is pretty exciting since I grew up playing with American Girl. I only had Samantha. I still wish I had my original Samantha today for Kennedy. American Girl just brought back the original six dolls we all know and love: Samantha Parkington, Kirsten Larson, Molly McIntire, Felicity Merriman, Addy Walker and Josefina Montoya are currently available now. You can purchase them here.
