Show Off Your Moxie On Netflix

Last night we attended the virtual premiere for the movie Moxie on Netflix. The movie is out today and it is so good. The virtual premiere included Amy Poehler (actor and director) and Hadley Robinson. The movie is based on the 2017 novel by Jennifer Mathieu.  The movie is so good.  It is funny, sweet and fierce and will have you chanting girl power by the end!  The cast is so amazing and talented.  I give this movie all the hearts and stars!

The movie is about a girl named Vivian who is inspired by her mom's rebellious past and a confident new friend at school, so she publishes an anonymous 'zine calling out sexism at her school. She is fed up with sexist dress codes, hallway harassment and following the rules. Soon after publishing the feminist 'zine, Vivian is forging friendships with other women across the divides of cliques and popularity rankings, and she realizes that what she has started is nothing short of a girl revolution!

The cast was so amazing and super talented. They did a really good job casting for this movie and I loved so many of the actors.  The film also touches upon such related topics as white privilege, unconscious bias, the toxicity of silence and Asian culture.

Do you have an urge to get involved?  The filmmaking team behind Moxie would love to share this impactful organization as a good place to start.  Click here.

I thought Moxie was a great film. It was unique and something I have never seen before and I think so many people could benefit from watching it. This movie is what society needs right now! It is important to stand up for what we believe is right and just. This film is one hundred percent inspiring.  Moxie is out NOW on Netflix.  #MOXIEGirlsFightBack
