RE-IMAGINING Easter WITH SUN-MAID

This post is sponsored by Sun-Maid, but all opinions are my own.

Easter is hopping up on us sooner than we think. This year we are reimagining and reinventing Easter with “sweet swaps.” Did you know that Americans consume an average of 16 million jelly beans during Easter and around 90 million chocolate bunnies are sold? Typically $2.6 billion is spent on candy around Easter. I was completely shocked by these insights. We have not been to the dentist in a year due to the pandemic. Honestly, I am just not ready to put the kids at risk and take them to the dentist, so we have been eating no sugary snacks and this year in their Easter baskets there will be no candy. Instead they will get better for you snacks, including Sun Maid Vanilla & Strawberry Covered Raisin Snacks. Not only is this helpful to my children, but it is also healthy for their teeth, minds, and bodies. Let me show you some fun ways I am incorporating Sun Maid this Easter.  I love that the Sun Maid Vanilla & Strawberry Covered Raisin Snacks taste good, my kids love them, and they are a better for you snack option.

Surprise your kids with these Easter egg snack cartons.  They are so easy to make and so much fun to fill.  Place your plastic eggs in an egg carton, since you probably already have a carton and plastic eggs on hand. Fill them with a variety of Sun Maid Covered Raisin Snacks.  My kids love a variety of Sun Maid Covered Raisin Snacks like Vanilla and Strawberry just to name a few.  This is a great morning or afternoon snack.

Does some bunny want a sandwich?  These bunny peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are so easy to make for my children.  They love them.  You need a circle or oval cutter, 2 apple slices for the ears, 2 Sun Maid Vanilla Yogurt Covered Raisins for the eyes, 1 Sun Maid Strawberry Yogurt Covered Raisin for the nose, 2 bananas for the cheeks, 1 slice of white cheese to make the bunny's teeth, and 6 small pieces of shredded carrots for the whiskers.

My goal this year is to reimagine our Easter baskets to not be so sugary, full of candy, but better for you snacks and playful imaginative adventure time/surprises for my kids.  You can easily add a new Easter book, bubbles, a soft new plush doll, a festive headband, a light up wand, a new sippy cup, and of course a variety of Sun Maid Yogurt Covered Raisins.  In a sea of Easter candy, whole fruit is and should be the real treat!

I am also filling plastic Easter eggs with a variety of Sun Maid Raisins that I will hide in our backyard for the kids to find during the Easter egg hunt.  I love that Sun Maid Raisins are versatile for all members of the family and Yogurt Covered Raisins are a twist on Sun Maid's classic California Sun Dried Raisins.  They have a coat of indulgent flavored yogurt over Sun Maid's timeless and trusted raisins, which makes these treats a tasty, better for you snacking option we know everyone will love.

All of these Sun Maid Yogurt Covered Raisins can be found at Walmart.  Hoppy Easter!
