Toast To A Healthy 2021

Avocado toast has come to define what makes food trends this decade. It is healthy, but indulgent. It is tasty and so easy. I have done the hard work for you and I have found some of the simplest, bursting with flavors, most delicious toasts out there. These toasts are so easy to make for breakfast or for a snack and my whole family approves! So here are some recipes I wanted to share with you. Let's raise a glass and toast to a healthy 2021!


Avocado, Olive Tapenade, and Cheddar Toast

Ingredients: 1 large slice whole grain bread toasted, 1 tablespoon olive tapenade, 1 thin slice sharp cheddar cheese, 1/2 avocado sliced, 1 teaspoon of olive oil, sea salt, crushed red pepper flakes

Directions: Spread the toast with olive tapenade. Top with sliced cheddar cheese, and add the sliced avocado. Drizzle the oil and sprinkle with sea salt and crushed red pepper flakes.


PB Deluxe Toast With Coconut and Cinnamon

Ingredients: 1 large slice whole grain bread toasted, 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, 1/2 small banana (sliced in half lengthwise), 2 teaspoons of shredded coconut and a pinch of ground cinnamon

Directions: Spread the toast with the peanut butter, place the banana on top of the peanut butter, sprinkle with coconut and cinnamon.

Almond Butter Toast With Maple Drizzled Pear

Ingredients: 1 large slice whole grain bread toasted, 2 tablespoons peanut butter, 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, 1/2 ripe pear thinly sliced, 1 teaspoon maple syrup.

Directions: Spread the toast with the peanut butter and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of the sesame seeds. Place the pear on top of the peanut butter. Drizzle with the maple syrup and sprinkle with more sesame seeds.


Sesame Marmalade Toast With Fresh Berries

Ingredients: 1 large slice whole grain bread toasted, 2 tablespoons or orange marmalade, 2 tablespoons of Tahini, 1/2 cup of raspberries and blueberries, 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds

Directions: Spread the toast with the marmalade and drizzle with the 1 tablespoon of the Tahini. Top with the berries and add the remaining 1 tablespoon of Tahini and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Double Apple, Mint, and Ricotta Toast

Ingredients: 1 large slice whole grain bread toasted, 3 tablespoons ricotta cheese, 1 table spoon of peanut butter, 1/2 thinly sliced apple, 1 teaspoon of maple syrup, 1 tablespoon small fresh mint leaves

Directions: Spread the toast with the ricotta and then smear the peanut butter on top. Place the apple slices on top of the ricotta and peanut butter. Drizzle with syrup and top with mint leaves.
