DIY Confetti Poppers for 4th of July

These DIY 4th of July confetti poppers are a fun and easy craft for everyone.  Launch confetti high up into the air with a “POP!”

The weather is heating up, and 4th of July will be here before you know it! We will be staying home this summer and for Fourth Of July and I am trying to keep the kids entertained with crafts and fun activities, and these confetti poppers were so easy and the kids loved them!  These poppers are also great for New Year’s Eve, weddings, birthday parties, and more! DIY confetti poppers are an easy way to spice up your next celebration!

You will need empty toilet paper rolls, balloons, double sided tape, patterned or plain construction paper, glitter, stickers, etc.  For the confetti I just used red, white, and blue construction paper and cut it up really small.  You could also purchase patriotic confetti if you prefer.

Knot the balloon, and cut off the top. Stretch the balloon tightly around the toilet paper tube.

Use patterned paper or plain construction paper and let your kids make their own Patriotic design. You can use stickers, markers, glitter, crayons, etc. to decorate the tubes. For these tubes, we wrapped them in blue construction paper and let the kids decorate them with crayons, and secured the paper with tape.

Add the confetti to the tube.  You may want to use a funnel or a rolled piece of paper to help guide the confetti into the tube, if necessary.

To launch the confetti, pull down on the bottom knot of the balloon, and let go! The confetti will shoot high up into the air.
