The Art of Keeping Your House Clean With Bona

The post is sponsored by Bona, but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

Okay, it's time for Spring cleaning. Spring break is coming up and no one likes going on vacation and coming home to a messy house. It is always satisfying to come home to a clean home you can just relax in. Today I want to share tips on how to set a pre-vacation cleaning routine and how I get our place fully prepped before the big vacay!

The comfort soft touch grip handle is so easy to use and I love the secondary grip for added cleaning power.

I do not have a cleaning service or anyone to help me. I do everything each and every week all by myself while taking care of two kids, blogging, cooking, etc. My new Bona Premium Spray Mop is making my life easier and cleaner.  I really do enjoy cleaning and there is nothing better than when the entire house is clean and sparkling! We don't make the kids or our guests take off their shoes when they enter the house, so you can only imagine (since it is winter and has been raining the entire month) what our floors look like daily (water, dirt, dust, and mud).

I don't want to be a slave to my floors all day everyday and I don't want my kids to feel paranoid if they track stuff from the outside in the house or spill and make a mess. Life can be hectic and messy with two children. I feel like I clean up one mess in one area of the house only to turn around and see them making another mess somewhere else. My favorite cleaning product for our floors is the Bona Premium Spray Mop and it is not only a great cleaning tool, but it takes the stress out of having to scrub the grooves and creases of the floor. Everything just seems to come up so nicely.

Bona Premium Spray Mop gives my floors a deep clean. It is perfect for stone, tile, and laminate floors.  It has a rinse free formula and an all in one solution to quickly clean dirt and grime.  It is a water based solution that is safe for everyone and our planet.  As I am cleaning my floors I can see how it loosens and removes all the build up from everything we have tracked into the house.  The Bona Premium Spray Mop is easy to use and the kids love helping too!

Before we leave for any vacation or our trip we have planned for Spring break I make a cleaning list of everything that needs to be done, so when I come home from vacation I only have to worry about some laundry.  Here is my list:

Vacuum the entire house
Kids bathroom (counter top, sink, toilet, mop floors, tub/shower)
Master bathroom (counter top, sink, toilet, mop floors, shower)
Guest bathroom (counter top, sink, toilet, mop floors, shower)
Mop kitchen floors
Mop dining room floors
Mop hallways/open areas
Dust the entire house
Clean all stainless steel appliances
Clean the exterior of the front of the house (wipe down the bench, sweep, clean doormat, and wipe down the front doors)
Hose down all the kids backyard toys and straighten up the backyard
Wash all bedding (usually every other week)

Here is what gets done at the beginning of each month (I only do these things once a month)
Clean all the baseboards
Clean the shutters
Clean the windows inside and out
Wipe down each interior door
Sweep out the garage and straighten it up
Clean out and wipe down the pantry shelves
Check HVAC air filters and change them as necessary

Being organized, especially when it comes to your home, is so important.  Plus you are setting a good example for your children.
