Get in the kitchen and bake. Fall always puts me in the mood to bake with the kids. It is the perfect season to whip up baked goods and enjoy them while watching the leaves outside. The kids love being in the kitchen and helping too. We love making pumpkin bread and it is so easy and so yummy!
Explore as a family. Fall is the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors. Pumpkin patches are all around us, so we love walking through rows of pumpkins picking the perfect ones all while eating handfuls of kettle corn and being together.
Celebrate Oktoberfest! Who does not love a salty pretzel?! It is always fun planning a festive fun celebration and in the fall Oktoberfest is seriously the best! It is an excellent opportunity to indulge in some delicious foods, whether you are German or not!
Plan a weekend trip! If you are wanting adventure this fall, load up the family and go somewhere fun! Whether it be to a pumpkin patch, or maybe a haunted hayride or a spooky Halloween haunted house tour. Plan a trip that the whole family will love and enjoy. We have some fun things planned the next few weeks and I just can't wait!!
Apple Picking! Who does not love a crisp tart apple. Find an apple orchard where you can pluck your own apples straight from the tree. This is something the whole family can do and everyone will love it. Plus, think of all the goodies you can make with those apples all together.
Leaf Picking! Fall is perfect for finding different beautiful colored leaves. It is so fun to go outside and pick leaves with the kids and talk about the colors and shapes and there are so many fun projects on Pinterest to do with those leaves you collect. Make it a craft day after collecting leaves and it is nice to turn your attention away from your TV and phone and spend quality time together. It is a good way to unplug from the digital world.
