Spring Time At Disneyland

We just got back from spending a few days at our happy place. We have annual passes so we are fortunate to go a lot and we just really love Disneyland. Spring time is a wonderful time to go but it can get busy due to spring break, Easter, and grad nights. I wanted to share some pictures from our time at Disneyland and give you some scoop on what is happening at Disneyland and DCA right now.

We love eating at Naples in Downtown Disney

Right now until April 16th The Food and Wine Festival is going on at DCA. You can celebrate the freshness of a California spring with unforgettable cuisine and events. The foods are delicious and there is even an AP corner with special buttons and photos!  There is also live music, which is so much fun!

The Pirates of the Caribbean celebrated it's 50th anniversary and it is one of the last rides Walt Disney helped design before he passed in 1966. The ride opened March 18th 1967. Did you also know it was supposed to a walk thru experience but after Small World opened and the boat ride was so popular they decided to do boats for Pirates as well. Due to celebrating it's 50th anniversary you can get special treats until July like lost treasure beignets and golden churros dusted with gold and lemon sugar which you can find at the Mint Julep Bar and Cafe Orleans. There are also several other fun festive drinks and food for the Pirates of the Caribbean celebration.

The Soundsational Parade is back! It is a daytime parade and it is so amazing.

The Main Street Electrical Parade is also back until June. They show this parade only at night and usually twice a night.  After the parade is the Remember... Dreams Come True fireworks spectacular!

Since The Beauty & The Beast Movie has come out you can catch Gaston, Belle, and the Beast roaming through Fantasy Land. At 11am Belle and the Beast make an appearance with the Disneyland Band in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Eggstravaganza will be at the parks (Disneyland, DCA, and Downtown Disney) from April 1st through April 16th.  You can purchase a scavenger map and stickers for $5.99 and start hunting.  Each park has a different map.  Once you find all the hidden eggs or if you just want your surprise head over to the redemption locations to return your map and get one of the Disney character eggs!  This is so much fun and we look forward to it every year.  We are a little sad we might not be able to attend this year.

At first I was really sad to hear they were closing Disney Junior Live on Stage at DCA.  My kids love this show!  It will be closing on March 30th but re-opening on May 26th with a new name "Disney Junior Dance Party" and it will be a live experience with characters, music, and different and new shows like Mickey and the Roadster Racers  (my kids are obsessed with this show), Lion Guard, Sofia The First, Doc McStuffins and more.  I can't wait to see this!
