Kennedy 18 Months

Hello 18 months!  Let's hope the month of December is much better for Kennedy than this past month! She is doing really well since she had surgery on November 19th.  She is starting to play, get around pretty well, and eat everything in sight again.  She had lost 6 pounds while being sick and being in the hospital and she has already almost gained it all back.  She is talking up a storm!  She will try to repeat anything you say or she just comes up to me and starts babbling and talking and I can't understand a word she is saying, but she is probably just tattling on her brother.  She says mama, dada, baby, duck, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Bubble Guppies, and so much more.  Kennedy is still wearing a size 4 diaper and a size 5 in shoes.  She eats breakfast with Carter every morning.  They have either waffles, pancakes, or bagels with fruit.  Usually an hour after breakfast she has a baby food with cereal.  An hour after that she usually has a yogurt.  She is not the best napper.  I put her down between 12 and 1pm and she only naps for about an hour.  Carter used to nap for 3-4 hours and it was amazing.  She just does not dig naps.  After nap we have lunch.  She either has a grilled turkey and cheese sandwich, peanut butter and jelly, or sliced cheese, turkey, and fruit.  Usually an hour after that she will have another baby food with cereal or maybe some other kind of snack like crackers and an applesauce.  For dinner she eats whatever we are having that night.  She goes to bed right at 8pm and drinks about 8oz of milk before bed in her sippy cup.  She sleeps through the night and I am so grateful for that.  She still adores bath time, but it has been short and sweet lately since she can't get her bandages wet, so we basically get her in and out each night.  She gets her bandages removed on Dec 18th.  We are looking forward to a festive month, seeing Christmas lights, Santa, riding the carriage ride in Fig Garden and so much more!  She is in love with the Christmas tree and pulling off every ornament she can reach.  Thank you again for all the prayers, phone calls, text messages, visits, meals, gift cards towards meals, and toys and gifts that have been given to Kennedy and us.  You have no idea how grateful I am to have such wonderful friends and family.
