Carter's Close Encounter with the Seal Lions at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo

The Fresno Chaffee Zoo launched a program that gets you up close and personal with zoo animals. Each Sunday is a different animal. The cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. The encounter happens every Sunday at 1:15pm, but they only allow 10 people to do the encounter so you have to purchase your tickets first thing Sunday morning when the zoo opens at 9am, otherwise they may sell out throughout the morning. Blake went to the zoo right when it opened at 9am and bought our tickets for the zoo today along with the close encounter tickets. Yes, you have to purchase a regular admission ticket into the zoo as well as your close encounter ticket. They are separate. Today the close encounter was with a sea lion. It was a blast and Carter loved it. I love doing something just for Carter so he feels special. It is hard some days with Blake working, me taking care of Kennedy, running errands, Carter's swim lessons, cooking, cleaning the house, and so much more. I love when we plan something special for Carter.

This was the first time Carter could reach the giraffes, he did not need mommy or daddy to hold him up!
