21 Months

Carter turned 21 months last Wednesday! He is wearing a size 4 diaper, a size 6 - 7 in shoes, and 18 to 24 month clothing. He is sleeping through the night, taking 1 nap per day. He is a dancing machine. He loves playing outside, swimming, and our evening walks. He is loving Little Gym. He holds the phone to his ear and says hello. He is still doing great memorizing his letters and numbers. He is doing amazing with his animal sounds and learning new words every day. For a long time he has called his cousin Taylor "Tay", but just this past week he called his cousin Peyton "Eyton". Taylor and Peyton also have a dog named Koda and Carter will go around yelling "Oda". It is the cutest thing! Today I got him out of his bath and he was holding his new toy rocket (thanks G&A and girls!) and he said "3,2,1 blast off"! He still loves to watch Yo Gabba Gabba, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, and Bubble Guppies. He loves to play games on the iPhone and iPad, his favorite games are Monkey Preschool Lunchbox, Old Macdonald's Farm, First Words Animals and Disney Appisodes. His favorite foods are meatballs, garlic bread, raviolis, waffles, pancakes, yogurt, apple sauce, cheese, lunch meat, breakfast bars, cheerios, goldfish, and graham crackers. As you can see, we are still having a hard time with fruits and vegetables! This weekend he ate a couple of grapes and blueberries, so we are making tiny baby steps in the right direction. Believe me, I offer him either fruits or veggies at every meal, but I have a picky eater on my hands for sure. Thank God the raviolis I buy have spinach, tomatoes, and other veggies in them. He has 12 teeth, with some new molars ready to break through any day. Honestly, he changes every day. The things he recites and he is learning amaze me. I am so blessed to be able to stay home with him so I don't miss a moment of any of his milestones or accomplishments, plus I want to be the one to say "I taught him that!" He is my best little buddy and I love him so much! Believe me every day is not always all smiles and sunshine, but I can't imagine life without Carter!
