LA Fun!

Blake and I received DWTS tickets for this past Tuesday night. I love seeing DWTS live in LA. I have been going since 2007 and I have been a fan since the show first started in 2005. I remember watching the first season packing up our San Jose apartment getting ready to move to Fresno. This time Blake and I decided to take his parents and grandparents to DWTS, so we left Monday for LA and had some fun for a couple of days. I love meeting celebrities and this trip did not disappoint! Here are some stories and pictures of the fun we had the last couple of days!

Monday night we went to dinner at Universal City Walk and Jay Leno was filming there. I got to meet him and get my picture with him. He rubbed my tummy and congratulated Blake and I on the baby. It was really cute.

Not great photos, but this is where Steve, Nikki, Grandma, and Papa sat

On Wednesday we went shopping at The Grove in LA. Extra with Mario Lopez films there daily and he interviews celebrities. If you read our blog, you know I go to The Grove a lot to see Mario and different celebrities. Some of the crew at Extra were excited to see me back and remembered my name. Of course I loved this, but Blake (his first coming with me) was totally embarrassed.

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott (this was my third time meeting them)

The real reason we went to The Grove on Wednesday is because Mario was going to be interviewing The Judds, who have a new reality show on the Oprah network OWN. I have been a HUGE fan of The Judds since I was a little girl. I owned all of their albums on cassette tapes, I performed their songs at The May Day Fair and Tomato Fest growing up in my hometown, and I hate to toot my own horn (beep, beep!!), but I won 1st place every year, which was a $50 gift certificate (back before gift cards existed) to our local music store Fantasia Records. I have seen The Judds in concert and Wynnonna by herself several times, and as a little girl I wanted to meet them so bad. I really thought I was destined to be friends with Wynnonna Judd because her birth name is Christina and she has a sister named Ashley, just like me!! I remember writing several letters to The Judds when I was younger and finally on Wednesday my little girl dream came true. I was selected to ask them questions on camera. I asked what their favorite song is to perform, and they both agreed "Love Can Build a Bridge" and "Grandpa," which are two of my favorite songs as well. I was able to talk to Wynonna and Naomi after filming. Wynona rubbed my belly and Naomi could not believe the coincidence that Wynona and I were both named Christina and had sisters named Ashley. It was probably one of the best moments. I will remember this day forever. Just writing this, I don't think I can explain what it meant for me to finally meet them. It's like having a wish or a dream that you think will never come true and all of a sudden it does. It was the best. They were so nice and it was an amazing experience.
