Saturday, we spent the day at the Animation Is Film Festival, which celebrates the highest aspirations of animation as a cinematic art form, and it was truly something special!
We were honored to attend the Disney HEXED panel where we got an incredible sneak peek to see 30 minutes of the movie! The filmmakers, Michael Franceschi and Louis Jones, walked us through the story and shared several extended clips that have us even MORE excited to see this film!
We learned about Billie, a rebellious teen who discovers she has magical powers, and her journey into the enchanted town of Hexe. Along the way, we got a glimpse of some incredible magic, fun characters, and even a few Disney surprises!
One of the things we love most about HEXED is that at its heart, it explores a mother-daughter relationship. As a mom and daughter, that makes this story especially exciting for us! And with Carter dreaming of becoming an animator one day, getting to experience a panel like this and see the creativity behind an animated film was extra special for our family.
Kennedy even got to squeeze in a quick interview question with the filmmakers! Check it out here.
We can't wait to see the full movie when Disney's HEXED arrives in theaters November 25! Thank you, Disney, for having us and giving us such a memorable experience!
