We are officially less than a month away from the premiere of Coven Academy on Freeform AND the start of 31 Nights of Halloween on Freeform, and I literally can’t wait! So, to get you ready to settle in and watch all your spooky favorites, we’re making the perfect Halloween snack: Boo-Schetta! It’s cute, easy to make, and the perfect bite to enjoy while watching all your favorite Halloween shows and movies. Watch the tutorial here.
What You’ll Need:French bread
Olive oil
Fresh mozzarella
Arugula
Bruschetta sauce (we used Trader Joe’s)
Balsamic glaze
Halloween cookie cutters
How to Make It:
1. Prepare the bread:
Cut the French bread into about 3-inch slices, then cut each piece in half. Place the bread on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil and bake at 450°F for 5–10 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
2. Make your spooky mozzarella:
Using Halloween cookie cutters, cut fresh mozzarella into ghosts and bats.
3. Build your Boo-Schetta:
Top each piece of toasted bread with arugula, followed by a spoonful of bruschetta sauce and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
4. Add the ghosts and bats:
Place your mozzarella ghosts and bats right on top.
5. Give them some personality:
Use the balsamic glaze to carefully draw little faces on your mozzarella ghosts and bats.
6. Serve & enjoy!
Now grab your favorite blanket, turn on your favorite spooky show and enjoy your Boo-Schetta while counting down to Coven Academy and 31 Nights of Halloween! Who else is ready for spooky season?!
