You’re Never Too Small to Dream BIG: Covering the GOAT Premiere on the Blue Carpet

Tonight, we were honored to cover the blue carpet for the premiere of GOAT, the new Sony Pictures Animation film and what an unforgettable night it was. The energy was unreal, filled with incredible talent, interviews, basketballs, real-life GOATS, and yes… Stephen Curry and Dwyane Wade!

Stephen Curry even signed Kennedy’s basketball purse and surprised her with exclusive trading cards like, OMG. A core memory for sure.

GOAT delivers high energy, heart, and style. I love how confidently the film blends sports excitement with emotional storytelling. It’s the kind of movie that had me cheering from the stands, laughing on the sidelines, and fully invested in every play.

The film follows Will, a small underdog goat with big dreams of playing roarball, a high-intensity, full-contact sport dominated by much larger animals. Produced with Stephen Curry, GOAT is an animated sports comedy inspired by perseverance and the belief that “smalls can ball.”

So lace up your sneakers and sprint to theaters on Friday, February 13th.  It has been absolutely incredible promoting this film, from press day to interviews to the premiere.

Thank you so much to Sony Pictures and Sony Animation for everything. This movie is such a powerful reminder for Kennedy that you’re never too small to go after what you want and to always keep dreaming.

It was such an honor to meet Jennifer Hudson.  We chatted about her iconic gold GOAT necklace, her talk show, playing Will’s mom in GOAT, and what inspired her to take on the role, plus so much more.  Jennifer is an incredible singer and actress who has starred in and voiced some of our all-time favorite movies, so this moment truly meant so much to us.  Jennifer, we are ready to be on your show and walk the Spirit Tunnel! Check out our interview with Jennifer Hudson here

We honestly can’t stop smiling because we met the one and only Stephen Curry!  He signed Kennedy’s basketball purse, gave her exclusive trading cards, took a photo, and even answered one of her questions. He was incredibly kind and truly the highlight of our night.  Check out our interview with Stephen Curry here

Jenifer Lewis is truly a legend. We have never missed an episode of black-ish, she gave us the iconic Mama Odie in The Princess and the Frog, and meeting her in person was an absolute delight. Our interview had us crying from laughter, she was so hilarious that some moments we can’t even share on socials. We loved that she showed up as her fully authentic, unapologetic self. Jenifer voices Florence Everson, the powerful owner of the basketball team The Thorns in GOAT, and she is absolutely fantastic in the role.  Check out the interview here.

Meeting and interviewing Sherry Cola last night was truly a dream! She is a beautiful, kind, and incredibly talented actress and comedian. Sherry voices Hannah in the new Sony Animation film GOAT and also stars in Shrinking and Nobody Wants This. You may also recognize her as the voice of Helen in Turning Red and what we’re most excited for is seeing her play Lark this summer in Camp Rock 3! We got as much scoop as we could about Camp Rock 3 and more, so be sure to check out our interview here.

Kennedy and I love watching movies together, especially some of my favorite rom-coms from back in the day. 10 Things I Hate About You, Bring It On, and She’s All That are always on repeat in our house, so getting to meet the iconic Gabrielle Union was truly a full-circle moment! We had the chance to chat with her about her role in GOAT, where she voices Jett Fillmore, a strong, confident leopard who kids are going to instantly connect with. Hearing her talk about bringing that kind of powerful energy to an animated character made us even more excited for this movie. Check out our interview with Gabrielle Union here

LEGEND status unlocked!  Kennedy had the absolute honor of interviewing Patton Oswalt and we’re still a little star-struck. Not only is he voicing Coach Dennis in the new animated movie GOAT, but he’s also the iconic voice behind Remy in Ratatouille, Max in The Secret Life of Pets, and the adult narrator on The Goldbergs. To say we were star-struck would be an understatement

Patton chatted with us about voicing Coach Dennis and shared what made the role the most fun and he was genuinely one of the kindest, most gracious people we’ve ever met. This is an interview we’ll cherish forever.  Check out the interview here.

One of Kennedy’s favorite creators is Deja Clark.  She is incredibly sweet, works so hard, and has built her own amazing brand, truly someone Kennedy looks up to.  Kennedy has seen Deja at other premieres and events before, but the GOAT premiere was the first time they finally got to meet! They chatted about Pink Palm Puff, took photos, and Kennedy even got to interview her! Check it out here

The new animated film Goat comes out of the gate strong and never misses a shot. The film delivers high energy, heart, and style. I love how confidently Goat blends sports excitement with emotional storytelling. It’s the kind of movie that had me cheering from the stands, laughing on the sidelines, and fully invested in every play. Goat is an animated sports comedy following Will, a small underdog goat with big dreams to play "roarball," a high-intensity, full-contact sport dominated by large animals. Produced with Stephen Curry, the film follows Will's journey to prove that "smalls can ball" in a story inspired by overcoming odds.

Set against a sports-driven backdrop, the story centers on perseverance, teamwork, and finding your inner strength when it matters most. As the pressure builds and challenges mount, the journey becomes less about winning the game and more about discovering what it truly means to have heart. The characters are dynamic, relatable, and full of personality, each bringing their own strengths to the court. The music is phenomenal, perfectly amplifying the emotion and adrenaline of every major moment. The bold animation style, vibrant colors, and eye-popping visuals are truly a feast for the eyes, every frame feels alive and in motion. Combined with a sports-driven storyline, nonstop visual creativity and an all-star voice cast, which includes Stephen Curry as the voice of Lenny, a giraffe, Gabrielle Union, who voices Jett, a black panther, and Caleb McLaughlin, who voices Will, a goat. Goat plays like a fast break straight to the hoop, keeping audiences engaged and energized the entire time. It is truly an animated slam dunk that proves Sony Animation is still playing at an elite level. With its uplifting themes and emotional payoff, Goat proves that when you trust your game and keep pushing forward, anything is possible.

Goat delivers a powerful message about self-confidence, resilience, and never giving up, even when you miss a few shots along the way. It reminds viewers that greatness isn’t just about talent, but about heart, determination, and believing in yourself when it counts. I give Goat 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 5 to 18, plus adults. So lace up your sneakers and sprint to the theaters to watch GOAT!
