Ironheart: Riri Williams Soars in a Bold New Chapter Disney+

She’s young, brilliant, and not afraid to change the game. We were honored to be asked by Disney+ to screen all 6 episodes of Ironheart early. I loved Ironheart on Disney+ because it introduced a fresh, powerful new hero, Riri Williams. Her intelligence, creativity, and heart made her instantly relatable, and watching her build her own suit and take on big challenges was both inspiring and exciting. The mix of high-tech action, emotional depth, and Marvel magic made this series a standout.

Ironheart is a six‑episode Disney+ miniseries that follows Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne), the brilliant MIT student who debuted in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Returning to her hometown of Chicago, Riri channels her intellect into building her own advanced Iron‑suit, only to become entwined with Parker Robbins, aka The Hood (Anthony Ramos), whose mystical powers set up a compelling clash between technology and magic. As she navigates academic pressure, city loyalties, and her morals, Riri evolves from prodigy to hero on her own terms, balancing her genius ambition with emotional stakes and complex character dynamics.

Alongside Riri is a dynamic ensemble: Anthony Ramos stars as Parker Robbins who uses a magical hood to create thrilling tension between science and sorcery. Lyric Ross and Regan Aliyah play Natalie and Dom and are Riri's loyal friends. The chemistry between the cast feels genuine, and the supporting cast adds humor, strength, and emotion in all the right places. Filming took place on location in Chicago and Atlanta. Across the six episodes, we are treated to intense fight sequences that are expertly choreographed and Riri’s evolving suit unleashes dazzling tech-powered combat scenes. The series blends action, emotional stakes, heart and delivers a compelling exploration of genius, power, and community across every episode.

The message in Ironheart is that you should believe in yourself and use your talents to help others, even if people don’t always understand you. Riri is super smart and builds her own iron suit, but she still has to figure out who she is and what kind of hero she wants to be. The show teaches you that it's okay to be different, and that your brain and your heart are capable of incredible things. It’s about being brave, doing what’s right, and not giving up on your dreams. I give Ironheart 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 10 to 18 plus adults. You can watch the first 3 episodes on Disney+ today and the final 3 episodes will be available on July 1.
