CELEBRATE STAR WARS DAY MAY THE 4th BE WITH YOU At Home Or At Disneyland

Set your coordinates and sit back because I am going to share with you how to celebrate May 4th (Star Wars Day)!  An annual celebration for Star Wars fans all about enjoying things from a galaxy far, far away. The date was chosen for the pun on the catchphrase, “May the Force be with you,” which sounds a lot like May the Fourth be with you. Today I am sharing crafts, costumes, and so much more to help you celebrate May The 4th whether you are in the parks or at home.

Head to the Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and check out this galactic creation.

Can you believe that this is an actual cake?!

Can't make it to the parks on May 4th, but you want to feel like you are there click here to check out some walk through videos from Star Wars Galaxy Edge.

Season of the Force at Disneyland happening now through May 11 with exciting entertainment, character moments and more. Debuting during Season of the Force this year, “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga” is a new nightly projection show in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, showcasing iconic moments from the Skywalker saga with stunning effects and music that transform the spires of Batuu.

And on select nights, “Fire of the Rising Moons” offers a unique view of Disneyland Park firework display with musical accompaniment. Also, keep an eye out for the legendary Luke Skywalker, whom you may encounter for a limited time while exploring the planet Batuu.

For more Star Wars fun, Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite returns to Disneyland Park with galactic entertainment, including the Fans of the Force Costume Cavalcade and lightsaber instructional. These after-hours separately ticketed events also feature food and drinks available only during the party, new photo backdrops, after-hours access to select attractions and the rare opportunity to dress in Star Wars-themed costumes. Click here to purchase tickets.

You won’t want to miss out on a new themed merchandise collection headlined by the Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Zip Up Hoodie, Dark Side Tee and Tumbler. In addition, you will receive a commemorative credential, guide map and unlimited downloads of Disney PhotoPass digital photos taken during the event. Grab your galactic credits because there is a full selection of new products to celebrate Star Wars Day from all corners of the galaxy! Launching on May 4, 2025, the May the 4th Be With You 2025 Collection will arrive at Disneyland Resort. You may find a variety of equipment including tees, hats, pins, totes and more to showcase your fandom for the light side or dark side of the Force.

In Downtown Disney you may have the chance to participate in a free make-and-take activity at the LEGO Store where you can assemble a complimentary mini build of Grogu in a hover pram, while supplies last.

Check out the Star Wars Foodie Guide here The Ronto wrap from Ronto Roasters in Galaxy's Edge is still my absolute favorite item.

If you won't be visiting the parks here are some ways to celebrate at home:

Let's make a Chewbacca pencil holder. You will need brown craft fur, black felt, white felt, googly eyes, 1 black pom pom, 1 empty soup can, and a glue gun. Glue the fur around the soup can, add googly eyes and a nose. Add a thin strip of black felt for the belt and cut white rectangles and add on the black felt belt and glue it on horizontally. Add some pencils and you are done.

Craft your own Wookie! You need a paper bag, brown, black, red, white paper, googly eyes, scissors and glue. Cut brown paper into 4x5 inch rectangles. You will need 6 rectangles. Cut strips half way up to make fur for your Wookie. Two go on the front of the bag, and then lift the flap and begin overlapping the rest of the rectangles. Add eyes, nose, a tongue, belt and you are done.

Let's make Yoda ears! All you need is glue, a headband, and green paper. Take some green paper and free hand some Yoda ears and cut them out. Glue the ears toward the bottom of the headband. I used a hot glue gun for extra security. Now you have your very own Yoda ears and you are ready for May The 4th!
