Sunday was like something out of a fairytale. We were invited by Disney Studios to a special early screening of Disney Snow White at the legendary Walt Disney Studios Lot. We screened the movie, there was a Q&A with Snow White herself, Rachel Zegler, there was a beautiful reception with food, desserts, drinks, crafts, props from the movie, so many photo backdrops and more. Then SNOW WHITE came out to join the reception and Kennedy was the first to spot her coming and they had the sweetest moment together. I had tears in my eyes recording my daughter meeting Rachel, our beautiful, fearless, kind, brave, true, and loving Snow White. Thank you Rachel and Disney Studios for a day we will never forget. You made memories for us that will last a lifetime. See Snow White in theaters this Friday!
Snow White is pure Disney magic! The film is a visually stunning and emotionally compelling reimagining of the beloved fairytale. It stays true to the heart of the classic tale while expanding on the characters and their motivations. The musical numbers are catchy and Rachel Zegler is the perfect Snow White. She proves what a talent she is, singing every song perfectly with her beautiful voice. Disney’s Snow White is a live-action musical reimagining of the classic 1937 film. The magical musical adventure journeys back to the timeless story with Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as her Stepmother, the Evil Queen, along with the beloved characters Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy.
I enjoyed that the film stayed true to the original, but added updated themes like a powerful female standing up for herself and showing more of the romance between Snow White and the prince, who really is not a prince at all in this live action film. Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen looks amazing. Her dresses are beautiful, her makeup is gorgeous and she plays a villain so well. I thought the seven dwarfs were so cute. I like how the dwarfs are introduced in the film during the Heigh-Ho performance during the movie. The animals in the movie look so realistic. They are cute and fit into the movie perfectly. The movie showcases the scale and beauty of the lavish production design. Rachel Zegler as Snow White is absolutely perfect. She is kind, powerful and heartfelt. She is not just a damsel in distress, but a princess with depth, courage and determination. Her journey of self discovery and leadership will serve as an inspiration for audiences of all ages watching this film. The cinematography is mesmerizing. The enchanting forests, the castles, this fairytale world feels nostalgic and new. The use of CGI and effects blends fantasy with realism and it makes every scene a visual masterpiece. The pacing is well balanced with moments of laughter, suspense, and heartfelt emotion that will keep all ages engaged from start to finish. I think every actor brings something wonderful to the film. The performances are genuine and it feels authentic and meaningful. The entire movie and cast has so much depth and charm.
The film's message is about being fearless, fair, brave and true. Snow White not only shows girls but everyone to always be kind and always do what is right. I give Snow White 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 5 to 18 plus adults. The film is 1 hour and 49 minutes and is rated PG. Disney’s Snow White, opens exclusively in theaters March 21. At the front of the Team Disney Building, the Seven Dwarfs overlook the Disney Legends Plaza and greet all who enter the building. You can see them for blocks around the Disney Studio and they are a landmark reminder of the influence Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs continues to have on Disney. Six of the Dwarfs are each 19 feet tall and weigh 30,000 pounds. Dopey, the smallest Dwarf, is 12 feet tall and is situated at the top, “holding up” the center of the building.
