Paddington In Peru Movie Review

Pack your suitcase, make a marmalade sandwich, and get ready for an adventure. Paddington In Peru is hilarious, heartwarming, engaging and a great family friendly film. The characters in the movie are so fun and the scenery is colorful and vibrant. It was a funny movie that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Full of Paddington’s signature blend of wit, charm, and laugh out loud humor, Paddington in Peru finds the beloved, marmalade loving bear lost in the jungle on an exciting, high stakes adventure. When Paddington discovers his beloved Aunt Lucy has gone missing from the Home for Retired Bears, he and the Brown family head to the wilds of Peru to look for her with the only clue to her whereabouts being a spot marked on a map. Determined to solve the mystery, Paddington embarks on a thrilling quest through the rainforests of the Amazon to find his aunt and may also uncover one of the world’s most legendary treasures.

Olivia Colman who plays The Reverend Mother and Antonio Banderas who plays Hunter Cabot are wonderful additions to the cast, and they steal the show. They both seemed to be having a lot of fun with their characters, and it shows in their performances. The rest of the cast are great as well. I liked all the plot twists from Aunt Lucy's disappearance to the mystery surrounding Paddington's origin story. I also loved the musical number. The visuals were beautiful. All of the scenery in Peru, with the jungles and everywhere they went was done really well. I could not take my eyes off the screen. My favorite part was the reunion with Aunt Lucy. It was so emotional and you could feel the love through the screen. There were so many adventurous moments, humor, and thrills that I was engaged the entire time. The film includes an amazing cast, laugh out loud moments, beautiful cinematography, enjoyable music, a great storyline and the most lovable bear.

The main message is about the importance of family, along with embracing who you are, always being kind and knowing it is okay to have more than one place that you call home. I give Paddington In Peru 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 5 to 18 plus adults. You can see Paddington In Peru in theaters now. It is rated PG and 1 hour and 46 minutes. Make sure you stay through the credits. Thanks for listening.
