Come With Us To The Garfield Premiere

Hide the lasagna! On Sunday we attend The Garfield Movie Premiere to interview the cast on the orange carpet. We had so much fun talking with Chris Pratt, Hanna Waddingham, John Cohen, Jim Davis the creator of Garfield, Harvey Guillen, Cecily Strong and more! Everyone from the cast signed our Garfield Movie book, we handed out Garfield bracelets to the cast and they loved them. We had the best time, but meeting Chris Pratt who voices Garfield was truly the cheese on top of the lasagna! He was so nice! Thank you Sony Pictures and The Garfield Movie for allowing us this amazing opportunity. Don't miss The Garfield Movie in theaters this Friday May 24th! Check out all the fun we had HERE.

We loved the movie. It was fun, heartwarming and there is a great villain. The animation was stunning and it has some heartfelt moments with an exceptional cast. The film definitely kept us entertained from beginning to end and we were laughing out loud.

Garfield (voiced by Chris Pratt), the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father, scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson), Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist. There is nothing not to love about Garfield. He hates Mondays, loves lasagna, and is loyal to his best pals Jon and Odie.

We really loved the animation in this film. The way the fur moves and looks throughout the entire film on all the animals is stunning. It is done extremely well. When the fur moves during action sequences and when the heist plans are being made, they even switch the animation style and we loved that. I really do not think they could have picked a better cast for this movie. I think Chris Pratt is perfect in the role of Garfield. I loved hearing Harvey Guillen as Odie and his different barks with different emotions throughout the movie. Hannah Waddingham voices Jinx, a cat who is the villain. She was fantastic as the villain. She is a little intense, but never too scary for younger audiences. I liked that the plot was made simple for kids to understand, the animation is amazing, and the storyline is so funny. The movie is rated PG, it is 1 hour and 41 minutes and never drags. I was completely entertained by the entire movie. You will leave the theater wanting Italian food and a pet!

The Garfield Movie is about teamwork, family, and friendship. It shows how family will always be there for you, no matter what. The film shares the importance of doing what is right and being loyal to the people around you.

The kids got to interview Chris Pratt. He voices Garfield in the movie and he is so witty and funny. Chris Pratt basically lives in our house or our cars every single day. It is usually a Marvel movie (Starlord), or it could be Onward (Barley Lightfoot), Super Mario Bros. Movie (Mario), The LEGO Movie (Emmet), Jurassic World (Owen) the list goes on and on. We have always been huge Chris Pratt fans, but after yesterday he might be our absolute favorite in the entire world. He took the time with every reporter, kid, adult, took tons of photos, and never turned anyone away or walked by without stopping to talk. He had the biggest smile on his face and was such a gentleman and so kind. He chatted with the kids, Kennedy made him a friendship bracelet that said Garfield and he put it on right away. He took photos with us, signed our Garfield book and was so much more than I can even put in words. He has voiced so many iconic characters and has starred in some of the best movies. We can't wait to see what is next for him. Thank you Sony Pictures, Chris Pratt and The Garfield Movie for this amazing opportunity.

It was so nice meeting Harvey Guillen who voices Odie for The Garfield Movie. You may also know him from the Disney movie Wish, Blue Beetle or Puss & Boots: The Last Wish just to name a few. He has voiced a lot of animated characters and it was so fun to hear how he prepared for this role as the voice of Odie.  Watch our interview with Harvey HERE.

We were so excited to meet Cecily Strong and Hannah Waddingham. Hannah plays a cat named Jinx and Cecily plays Marge, a dedicated animal control officer. Their roles in this movie are so good and made us laugh out loud. It was an honor to meet these talented women and interview them.  Watch our interview with Hannah and Cecily HERE.
