Mufasa: The Lion King Movie Review

It is time! Mufasa: The Lion King, explores the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands.  See it in theaters now.

It's the circle of life. I will be reviewing the film Mufasa: The Lion King. I really love all the Lion King movies and this one was fantastic. The technology just keeps getting better and better and I could not take my eyes off the screen the entire time. It is a heartwarming story about family, friendship, love and the music is amazing. This movie is hilarious and will take you on an epic adventure. Long before they became legends, Mufasa and the prince who would come to be known as Scar, became brothers and this movie is all about their origin story.

Lost and alone, orphaned cub Mufasa meets a sympathetic lion named Taka (who is known as Scar), the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting sets in motion an expansive journey of an extraordinary group of misfits searching for their destinies.

The musical numbers are fantastic. The song "I Always Wanted A Brother" is the "Hakuna Matata" of the film. The scenery is beautiful and the lands are colorful and vibrant. The animation of the animals is so realistic. Although they are animals, each has human-like expressions on their faces and very distinctive features. The underwater scenes are realistic and I could not take my eyes off the screen. I enjoyed the references to the Lion King movie. Finding out the story of Scar and the history he has with Mufasa was so interesting to me. There are swirling floods, elephant stampedes, and it is a massive journey film that covers the entire African continent. It is a big gorgeous movie and I felt like I was a on roller coaster watching this movie in the theater.

The film's message is about family, friendship, love and never giving up what you believe in. It reminds the audience that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. I give Mufasa: The Lion King 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 5 to 18 plus adults. You can see Mufasa: The Lion King in theaters now.
