The Marvels Is A Must See

I have said it a million times, we are obsessed with anything and everything Marvel and the new MCU film The Marvels did not disappoint! It was a 10/10 for us. I first want to say this movie totally sets up the most epic MCU future there is going to be and I will get into all that later, including the mid and ending credit scenes. The Marvels is FUN, laugh out loud funny, it has some heartfelt moments and the chemistry between the three leading ladies is outstanding. You can see The Marvels in theaters now. It is rated PG-13 and the movie is 1 hour and 45 minutes.

In The Marvels Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. However, unintended consequences see her shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with two other superheroes to form the Marvels. Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel), Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) and Monica Rambeau have to work together because their powers become entangled.

I recommend watching Ms. Marvel and Wanda Vision on Disney+ before seeing The Marvels. You will get the background you need to know about Kamala and Monica. You will immediately fall in love and relate to Iman Vellani’s (Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel). She is a Marvel fan just like us and she is so excited to meet her heroes and fangirls out just like we would do ourselves! I was so happy to see her family in the film as well because they steal the show. The family scenes are full of laughs and I think the family dynamics actually make this movie.

As I said, the chemistry between the three leading ladies is amazing. They work so well together and look like they were having so much fun together. The friendship seems genuine on the screen. The battle scenes are epic, especially when the three of them switch places, which is so fun to watch.

*SPOILER ALERT* Now let's talk about the ending credit scene! Finally the Young Avengers are teased and it is done incredibly well. I was literally out of my seat! Kamala is sitting in a dark room waiting for Kate Bishop and invites her to a team she is starting. I am thinking they'll include Ant Man's daughter Stature, America Chavez and more. I can't wait. Finally the X-Men are here and from a different time and space. Monica wakes up after being trapped on the other side of the rip in space and time and she thinks she sees her mom, Maria. But her mom does not recognize her at all. The beast from X-Men is there doing tests on Monica and explains that she traveled through space and time, which was previously thought to be impossible.

These mid and end credit scenes set up so many possibilities for Young Avengers and X-Men. Who knows, they might even bring back Tony Stark, Steve Rodgers and Wanda Maximoff who, just like Maria Rambeau, were previously thought to be dead...
