We are so excited to share with you some crafts you can do with your family and kids to get excited for Disney+ Day and the new content coming out.

We screened Pinocchio last week for Disney+ and we loved the movie.  Pinocchio is a classic tale and I think this live action story is wonderful.  We loved the entire movie and there were even a few tears shed at the end.  This movie is perfect for the entire family.

Academy Award winner Robert Zemeckis directs this live-action retelling of the beloved tale of a wooden puppet who embarks on a thrilling adventure to become a real boy. Tom Hanks stars as Geppetto, the wood-carver who builds and treats Pinocchio as if he were his own son. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Jiminy Cricket, who serves as Pinocchio’s guide as well as his "conscience"; Academy Award nominee Cynthia Erivo is the Blue Fairy; Keegan-Michael Key is "Honest" John; Academy Award nominee Lorraine Bracco is Sofia the Seagull, a new character, and Luke Evans is The Coachman.

Let's make a cuckoo clock for the premiere of Pinocchio on Disney+ . This craft is simple and can easily be done with children of all ages. You will need scissors, tape or glue, paper and a fastener.

We are huge Marvel fans in this house. We have seen every single Marvel movie in chronological order (read about that here). We can't wait for Thor Love & Thunder. Today we decided to DIY Thor's Hammer and Helmet to get us ready for the movie! It is so easy to do by yourself or as a craft with your kids this summer! So grab some glue and scissors and get ready to assemble!

To make Thor's Helmet I just drew a headpiece that I thought resembled Thor's helmet. I totally free handed this. You can print my template and use it by clicking HERE. Just print it out on grey paper, or if you only have white printer paper then print it out and color it with crayons, markers or paint it. Next cut two thin strips and attach them on each side of the helmet. You can use glue, tape or even staple it to your size. Next place it on your head and get ready to fight Gorr the God Butcher!

To make Thor's Hammer you will need a tissue box, scissors, hot glue gun, a pen, a grey marker, rubber band, silver duct tape, and a paper towel roll. Cut a circular hole in the middle of the tissue box the same diameter as your paper towel roll, glue the paper towel roll into the center of the tissue box where you made the hole. Once it is dry, start covering your entire tissue box in grey duct tape. Once you are done covering your hammer measure 1 inch spaces on the paper towel roll and with a grey marker draw lines around the paper towel roll. I used a rubber band to help guide me around the paper towel roll. Once you have made the design on handle you are done.

The film finds Thor on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced - one of self-discovery. But his efforts are interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who (to Thor’s surprise) inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.

The Disney+ Original series Cars On The Road follows Lightning McQueen and his best friend Mater as they head east from Radiator Springs on a cross-country road trip to meet up with Mater’s sister.

We screened the series of shorts a couple weeks ago.  It was so cute.  We loved it.  There are 9 episodes and they are each about 10 minutes long.

Let's make Lightning McQueen to get us ready for Cars On The Road.  You will need red popsicle sticks.  You can always color regular popsicle sticks.  You will need black, white, and blue paper and a hot glue gun.  Glue 6 popsicle sticks together for the body and 8 popsicle sticks together for the face.  Add eyes, mouth, tires, and face and you are done.
